After shopping for half of the day, we're finally done. I got gifts for my mom, dad, Gabe, and Vicky, and I also convinced Grayson to buy something for his family.

We spent at least four or five hours shopping. He is still complaining about it. He says his feet hurt, and that he is exhausted and bored. I told him to take a quick nap, and I started getting ready for the carnival.

I haven't seen Ethan the whole day. And not only because I was shopping, but when Grayson tried to call him, his brother said that he was busy. Hmm... I wonder what he was doing by himself here. What if it's about a girl? That'd be interesting.

As I was choosing my outfit for tonight, I hear knocks at the door. I quickly run to the door, walking out of the room. I don't want to wake Grayson up.

"Is Gray sleeping?" Ethan asked me.

"Yeah, he was pretty exhausted."

"Right. Uhm, is it okay if I don't come tonight to the carnival?"

"What? No! Why? It'll be fun, I promise. We're not gonna make you feel awkward."

"It's not that, Kayla. I kind of... have something else to do." he starts scratching the back of his head, as his cheeks turned red. He looks at the ground, avoiding my eyes. He just got shy! Oh my God!

"Is it a date? Ethan, that's amazing! I'm so proud of you!" I said, smiling, and he started chuckling.

"I wouldn't call it a date, but..."

"Ok, what's her name, since when have you two been talking? I wanna know everything!"

I sit down on the couch, looking up at him. He laughs again, his cheeks turning a redder color. I chuckle at his shyness.

"Her name is Jessica. We dated this summer. We met last year, thanks to a friend."

"What do you mean dated? Why'd you break up?"

"Well, she didn't want to have a long-distance relationship, and since I live in New Jersey, we had to break up. But, we are still talking."

"So, when you said you had stuff to do today, you were with her! Eth, you know you could've told us."

Then, a wonderful idea pops into my head.

"Why don't you bring her tonight? Come on, it'll be fun! The more we are, the better." I suggested excitedly. He finally looks at me, smiling.

"Maybe I can talk to her."

"Go! Now! Why are you still here?" I started pushing him off of the couch, laughing. He chuckles, taking out his phone, heading to his room.

I walk back to mine and Grayson's room, quietly looking through my stuff. Five minutes later, when I finally decide what to wear, I hear the door. I see Ethan glowing in happiness, laying against the doorframe.

"She said she's coming. We'll meet there in an hour," he announced me smiling.

"Perfect! Go get ready, I'll wake Grayson up now."

"Fine. Good luck!"

"Thanks!" we both chuckled, then he left the room.

I walk to the bed and bend down in front of Grayson. His eyes were closed, his mouth half-opened, and his hair was everywhere on his forehead and the pillow. His nose and lips slightly moved as he was breathing. He looks like an angel!

"Gray, wake up. We have to get ready."

I silently whispered, moving his shoulders. He still doesn't flinch, so I try again.
