Jamie

I absolutely hate the doctors. I mean seriously, who in the right mind would enjoy having somebody in their mid thirties touching you everywhere just to tell you whats wrong with you?!? They even go near your no no square. But even after hours and hours of whining and complaining, my mom still managed to drag me to where I am now. In the waiting room of the doctors.

"Jamie Datcher?" called a lady in all white. I got up and walked towards her with my mom following behind. Yes I still have my mom come in with me. It's easier so she can answer all the questions.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Harrison and I'll be taking your height and weight today." she said offering her. Much to my displeasure I accepted her hand which was as cold as ice. After all that measuring, weighing and changing I sat on that table thingy while in a hospital gown. That's pretty much all that happened, the usually check up and now onto school. I already missed first and second period so that means I have language arts next. After signing in at the office I started walking up the stairs and as I was passing the security room which always has the door open, I couldn't help but notice red hair as I was passing so I stopped dead in my tracks and backed up. There sitting in the waiting room of the main securities office was Sax, she was just sitting with her head leaning on her arm.

"Geez, I'm not here for not even half of the day and you get sent to security?" I asked leaning against the door frame.

"Someone's gotta keep me in line." she said with a cheeky smile.

"What did you do?"

"I got in trouble for not doing my work because Mr. Parker got annoying and for calling him a shit face." she said with a proud smile.

Mr. Parker was an ass but he was one of those teachers who kept on trying to make everything 'fun'. Plus, I could see why she thought he was annoying. All he does during his 4th period class is go on and on and on about how Sax is his favorite student and how she isn't even in his advance class yet she still learns faster than they do. I find that kind of funny since nobody would think that Sax was a genius when they first meet her.

"Sax, what am I going to do with you?" I say smiling with my hand on my hip.

"Anything you want." she said with a wink.

"Whatever, I'm going to class." I say turning around to walk.

"But, I didn't get a hug!" she said looking like a helpless little puppy.

"You have to wait because you got in trouble." I say walking off laughing at the expression on her face. I didn't realize that everybody was staring at me when I walked into the classroom. I felt so embarrassed as I walked to the teacher and handed her my excuse slip and took my seat next to Caelyn.

"Why were you laughing when you walked in?" asked Caelyn the second I sat down. I've known Caelyn since we were in elementary school but she wasn't exactly one of my closer friends but I still tell her almost everything. Which is no surprise that I told her about Sax.

"I passed Sax in the security office and just messed with her a little bit." I say as I grab out everything necessary for this class.

"That girl is always getting in trouble, but it's hilarious when she messes with Mr. Haller."

"Yeah, I wonder how she is in her math class though. She's like one of the top students in that class. She even helps Al with her homework."

Al is a perfect student and the only girl in the whole school with a 4.0, there's another guy but nobody really pays attention to him. She is also the only student with a perfect attendance to go with that 4.0. Okay enough about my best friend.
