Chapter Eleven

Jamie

It's finally Valentines day and the whole school was decorated in red and pink. Most of the students were also wearing red or pink and had bags of gifts for friends. I was wearing a red shoulder less top with a pink heart in the middle and plain blue skinny jeans, Al was wearing the same thing but the shirt had the colors inverted. We started to walk towards the office so we could drop off the Tupperware we were holding. Al decided to make cake pops to give to people and I had heart shaped cookies.

"Hey Jamie!" I heard someone call from behind. I turned to see Calvin walking up to Al and I.

"Oh, hey there Calvin."

"Happy Valentine's day." he said as he had me a card and then Al.

"Thanks, I'll see you in math." I said as I walked away.

"He is crushing on you so bad." said Al as we continued to the office.

"He is not."

"Is to, I always see him staring at you. Too bad you're gay."

"Am not! I just happen to have a crush on this one girl." I covered my mouth the second I said that. It was the first time that I've admitted to liking Sax.

"Ah ha!" She said pointing at me.

"So you do like Sax!"

"Shut up, let's just go to homeroom."

"Jamie and Saxen sittin' in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g." Al sang on the way to homeroom.

"So why am I in a tree?" We turned and saw Sax wearing black skinny jeans and had on a red flannel with a white shirt that had writing on it but I couldn't read it because her flannel was buttoned up partway. She also had on a red beanie that went with her red hair which was kind of cute. I could already see valentine cards sticking out of her shirt pocket.

"Sax! Uhm what're you doing down here? I thought your homeroom was upstairs." said Al

"Yeah, but I just needed to finish finalizing some stuff."

"Like what?" I asked

"Oh just some grades and stuff. Anyways, who am I kissing?"

"Uhm you know that one girl." Great, what a lame excuse. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"We were talking about that Ali chick. You know, the one with spider bites?"

"Oh yeah. She's pretty cute."

"Yeah, well we gotta get to homeroom. C'mon Jamie, bye Sax!" Al grabbed my wrist and pulled me away.

I can't help but feel nervous about giving Sax just one damn cookie, I mean I also got her one of those candy gram things but they don't pass those out until last period period. I wonder if she got me anything, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

First period was pretty boring, all we did was talk about the concert for next month. Now it was time for P.E. After the attendance was taken all three P.E. classes were called to the main gym to get put into teams for our soccer unit. There were exactly 70 students with all the classes together so the teachers wanted to have 6 teams. One of the three teachers started calling off names for the first team and then the second and so on.

"Okay, now for team 5. Alaine, Hailey, Andrew, Marissa, Taylor, Jamie, Robbie, Will, Makayla, Kylee, aaannndd Saxen."

"Whoo!" Al said and jumped on Sax's back forcing her to give Al a piggyback ride.
