CHAPTER 06

HYUNJIN'S LATE NIGHT calls had slowly became a habit as time passes. somehow he always called at the same time; not even a minute late.

and somehow it was always the girl, who's always answering his calls. it made him feel better because he didn't feel comfortable talking to others.

tonight, he called the hotline again. "how are you today?" her voice spoke through his phone once his call was answered.

she didn't go for the usually greeting of the hotline to him anymore, "slowly making progress on getting better." his words made her smile.

"that's good to hear." it was always like this, a few words exchanged and then it was silence.

it wasn't an uncomfortable silence, it was quite nice and comfortable. they had gotten really close with each other without even knowing how they look like.

"do you, perhaps still think about her?" hyunjin sighed before answering her question, "sometimes, yea."

he heard the girl hummed at his answer. it was quiet again, "what about you? do you still think about him?" he knew about her past lover but he didn't know his name or who was it.

"sometimes too but only the good moments." he heard her giggled softly after finishing her words.

"do you ever wonder how I look like?" she asked. hyunjin sat up from his laying positions and raised an eyebrow.

"no, but now I do. do you?" the girl chuckled, "most of the time, yes I do wonder." he chucked along with her.

"I mean, its been about a month since you first called. it's hard not to think about how you look like." she said.

"you have a point. why don't we exchange numbers? I really don't want to call the hotline every time I want to talk to you, what if one day it isn't you?" the boy exclaimed.

the two exchanged numbers and the call was cut off. the boy's phone started ringing after a short silence in his room and her nickname flashed on his screen.

"new phone, who's this?" hyunjin joked, making hawon giggled while he chuckled along with her.

"I'm kidding, so what time do you get off from work?" hyunjin heard a sound of chair getting push back through the phone after he asked.

"right now actually." it was currently five am in the morning, the boy frowned at the time. It was dangerous for her to walk alone right now.

"how are you going home? are you walking? isn't it too dangerous to walk alone at this time?"

"no, i brought my bike with me and yes it's quite dangerous but it's okay." the boy got up from his bed, making his way to his door.

"I'll come get you." hawon was choking on her water at the other side of the phone, "no, it's fine." she answered.

she couldn't understand why did he wanted to take her home, it was heartwarming but she didn't want to bother him.

"tell me where you are." hyunjin was already on his way out the door, "jinnie it's fine-" he run down the stairs, not even caring about his maids that were already awake and staring.

"tell me now." the girl sighed before telling him the address, luckily the park she told him was quite near the his house so he got there really quick.

he looked around the park that she was waiting at. hyunjin clicked her number and waited for it to ring.

hyunjin stopped walking when he heard the sound of a phone ringing from a distant. he took off, running towards the sound of the ringing.

"hello?" she answered, her voice sounded like she was falling asleep and the sound of metal squeaking gave her location away.

he stopped in front of a girl who was sitting on the swing with her head down and phone pressed against her ear while she was slowly falling asleep.

"wonnie?" the girl jolted away and almost fell backwards off the swing she was sitting on before looking up and gasped.

the only sound around them was the swing set's metal squeaking and leaves flying across the street as the wind blew pass them.

"hwang hyunjin." she spoke and the same time his name travel through his phone.

"kwon hawon." he spoke, they both was shocked. they didn't know what to do or how to react to the situation.
