CHAPTER 08

DAYS WERE GETTING COLDER. the warm season was slowly changing, autumn was arriving and the wind was getting harsher.

hyunjin sighed as he stared out the window. he wasn't a big fan of the cold weather, especially since her death anniversary was coming up so soon.

he wasn't ready to face her, maybe one day he will but it was certainly not today or this year.

hyunjin walked into school with his normal cold expression displayed on his face. he rolled his eyes at the girls who were attempting to catch his attention.

everyone in the hallway moved out the way for him, he was the prince of his school and everyone knew it.

"stop it!" the familiar sound of her voice made him stop walking and watched as the scene played in front of him.

his eyebrow creased inwards upon seeing the girls pour out her books from her bag. all her paper and books fell out, landing on the floor with a thud.

hawon immediately got onto her knees and started gathering her stuff, "stop it!" her voice cracked, and it made his heart sore inside his chest.

the girls laughed at her before throwing her bag on her head and stared at her with those pitiful eyes, he hated it.

"hey!" hyunjin raised his voice at the girls in front of her. everyone jumped at his voice, shocked because he has never raised his voice at someone before.

everyone observed as hyunjin walked over to them and grabbed hawon's arm, pulling her to stand up, "apologise to her." his voice held anger and disgust.

"apologised to her, now!" the girls immediately apologised and ran away, hyunjin's face soften when he turned over to her.

"you didn't have to do that." hawon sniffed as she shook hyunjin's hands off her arm and bent down, gathering the stuff once again.

the boy got down onto his knees and helped her. "I did because I wanted to." his words made the girl looked up at him, confused.

hawon didn't knew what to say so she stuffed her books into her bag quickly and turned around, getting ready to leave for class.

"I'm not done talking to you!" hawon sighed softly as the boy grabbed her bag, pulling her back to where she was standing before.

people were staring at them, some were curious since when were they close to each other? some were jealous that she was talking to hyunjin.

"how long has this been happening?" hyunjin asked, it was out of curiosity. hawon huffed and crossed her arms before answering him.

"it's none of your business." hyunjin knew she wasn't going to tell him that easily, but at least he tried and he was going to find out himself, anyways.

hawon walked away from him, avoiding everyone who was staring at her while speed walking to her class.

"I'll just have to find out myself." hyunjin mumbled to himself as he stared at the girl's walking figure before turning around and walked to his class.
