Youngjae wakes up when Jaebum's pressing a kiss to his lips. When he opens his eyes, Jaebum smiles down at him, and Youngjae smiles back tiredly. The dim light above Jaebum's head gives him a halo of light surrounding his hair.

"Do you want anything from McDonald's?"

"Sleep," Youngjae mumbles, turning around the slightest bit and closing his eyes again.

"You can't get that here. C'mon babe," Jaebum pushes a sleepy Youngjae into a sitting position. Youngjae's hair looks like a rat's nest and his eyes are still half-closed but Jaebum finds it the cutest thing ever. "You have to eat something."

Youngjae makes a sound of disagreement. Sleep is more important. He can eat at home, they still have a pack of mac and cheese in the cupboard. He could eat that all in one sitting.

But nevertheless, Jaebum still manages to drag Youngjae with him out of the bus. Their fingers are intertwined and Jaebum is patient in letting Youngjae walk with the brace around his leg. Though it's hidden underneath his dress pants, it's still very obvious that he can't walk properly yet because of his limping.

Inside the fast-food restaurant, Youngjae leaves Jaebum in the overly busy line to use the washroom. Just as he finished up and washes his hand, using some water to try and get his hair back in order, he freezes with his hands still fixing the mop of blond on his head when Jinyoung enters the washroom and makes eye-contact with him.

"Youngjae," Jinyoung says immediately, walking forward and holding him gently by his arm so he can't leave. "Please hear me out."

"I never said I wouldn't," Youngjae says calmly, a bit too calmly for Jinyoung's comfort. "What is it you want to say?"

Jinyoung frowns at how calmly and tired and worn-out Youngjae seems. "I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for assuming you posted that video and stuff. And... sorry for not really, you know, talking with you at all since all this crap went down." Tears begin to gather in Jinyoung's eyes and he breaks off. "Shit, Youngjae, I'm so sorry."

"It's all right," Youngjae whispers hoarsely. Tears are beginning to form in his eyes as well and he pulls Jinyoung in for a hug. It's a long, friendly hug where they're both letting silent tears that speak so many words neither of them have said over the past five weeks roll down their cheeks.

They only break apart when Mr. Divins calls for Cleveland High to be quick in getting their stuff because the bus will be leaving soon. They look at each other's tear stained cheeks and then laugh at how silly this is, hugging and crying in the washroom of a McDonald's.

Jinyoung wipes his runny nose with his sleeve and hugs Youngjae once more, pressing a kiss to his forehead that reminds Youngjae of his mother's old kisses from when he was a child. He feels the urge to cry and desperately wants to cave in and tell Jinyoung about his mother's current condition as his mom used to be so fond of Jinyoung back when they first met when Youngjae was just a mere freshman. But he decides to keep it to himself for now.

Jaebum's not in-line anymore and they're the last people to come back on the bus. While Jinyoung returns to his seat at the very back of the bus, Youngjae makes his way through the middle path and squeezes past Jaebum's leg to get to his own seat.

"Did you two make up?" Jaebum asks, handing Youngjae a cheeseburger.

"I don't know, kind of?" Youngjae questions, unwrapping the paper around the food. The whole bus smells like a fast food tent as it exits the parking lot. "We hugged it out and cried and he said sorry. That's all."

"Sounds like making up to me," Jaebum grins. "I'm happy for you, angel."

Youngjae's flattered at the wave of pet names Jaebum has been calling him recently (babe, baby, angel, muffin, baby boy, Prince Charming, handsome, even more pet names Youngjae can't list, most are said as a joke but at the same time very sexually intended) and he blushes a deep red.

"Cute."

"Stop!" Youngjae whines like a little child and swats at Jaebum's arm. Jaebum takes this chance to grab Youngjae's wrist and pull him in for a strong, sweet kiss that has the back of the bus "oo'ing" at the couple. There are a few wolf-whistles when the kiss doesn't break off after a few seconds and some people are complaining that they should get a room.

Youngjae doesn't care. Right now, he's a lot happier than he was at all this week and nothing will stop that, not even overly jealous people who can't handle the sight of two people kissing.

The whistling intensifies when Jaebum pushes Youngjae back against the wall of the bus for support, practically eating away at his face, and Mr. Divins has to come around to quieten everyone down as some students want to study for final exams or want to sleep from the long, exhausting day of set up, playing, and packing up again many, many times.

Youngjae's out of breath, panting with his hair wild and face flushed. Ariana Sharpe smiles from between the seats in front of them, someone fist-bumps his shoulder and tells him he's lucky to have Jaebum.

They're stuck in traffic for another hour, Mr. Divins announces while everyone has returned to eating their food. There was an accident on the freeway and police and firemen and paramedics are on their way. Though it reminds Youngjae of his car-accident a week ago, Kaelynn Horne and Ryan Hunter invite him and Jaebum into a game of cards, which Youngjae can't say no to.

After three games Youngjae calls quits (not only because he keeps losing, to which Jaebum jokingly calls him a sore loser, but also because his leg is throbbing in pain again and he really doesn't feel like playing anymore). He pulls his hood over his head once more and puts his earbuds in again, cuddling his head back into Jaebum's thigh. Even though his dress shirt is still tucked into his pants, Jaebum's hand finds a bare strip of skin on his waist and rests his palm there.

Almost done with the fic haha. I think my writing's improved a lot (I pre-wrote allllll of this nearly two years ago, can you believe it?) and I'm starting to dabble back into writing this sort of things. I think I spoke of my idea last chapter, but I'm thinking of publishing a BTS/Harry Potter crossover? I'm just wondering how many people would read it. I also have some lit ideas for a zombie-apocalypse fic in mind...

Would anyone actually read that sort of stuff? Please let me know!
