"Kiri-chan!" A child's voice called out as the black haired child turned around, his bright red eyes shining brightly.
"(F/N)-chan!" He called back with a bright smile as the two 10 year olds approached each other with fondness.
"I'm leaving for America again tomorrow! This will be my 5th time visiting it! But now I'm gonna live there!" The girl said with an excited tone, her energetic demeanor showing itself as she bounced on the balls of her feet.
"But (F/N)-chan!.. That means I won't get to see you anymore!" He said, his voice saddening and his head falling low.
The two 10 year olds realized that their friendship was coming to an end, all the years they've spent together were slowly becoming nothing more than a memory. As both of their red eyes stared down at the ground before them, and one by one the girl came up with an idea.
Her eyes lit up and she took her cousin by the hand, snapping the other child out of his own somber trance.
Flashing her own bright smile, the two children stared at each other with identical eyes. "Eijiro." She said, calling him by his first name to show her seriousness. "Don't worry ok? We'll always be friends! Cousins! That's why I'm gonna be like my dad! And you have to be like Crimson Riot! If we become heroes, then we'll see each other again for sure! After all- all heroes work together to keep the whole world safe."
Both of them shared a smile again, their hope rekindled and refusing to blow out even with the obstacles that each of them would face. Unbeknownst to them that they would cross paths once again much sooner than they expected, but much later than they would've liked.
With their pinkies intertwined, "I promise to become a hero." they both said in sync as they stared straight into each other's souls, etching each other's features into their memories forever.
Their ruby colored eyes reflected upon one another and as their hands came apart, they headed their separate ways, leaving behind what they had once known.
And anyone watching would agree- in that moment, they looked as if they were sunshine personified.

Fanfic(This was supposed to be short and only used to satisfy my craving to do this story. Of course it didn't turn out that way...) It had been 5 years since you had last seen your cousin, Kirishima Eijiro. You two had been as close as you could remember...
