Chapter 5

Jeff's POV
I had let Elta win because my jaw was hurting from the kick she gave me earlier. I gave up sadly. She tried to get up but fell back on top of me our faces a few inches apart. I sighed trying to keep calm. "You want some help?" I asked and she nodded. I pushed myself into a sitting position causing her to end up on my lap, I leaned around her and saw her pant leg stuck on a tree root. "Jeez, you got your pant leg stuck on a tree root...." after getting her unstuck i brought my face back up, seeing we were only a few inches apart again. "I-I...." i heard Elta start to speak so i patted her head, shaking mine before standing up, then helping her. "You did really good. We were out here for a good three or four hours, lets go get something to eat" i said then turned and headed inside. I hear her giggle and i wondered what she was thinking about. I walked into the kitchen and saw Toby making waffles, eggs and bacon. "Looks good Toby, just keep the kidney on EJ's plate and everyone will be happy" he looked at me and nodded. Toby, Hoodie and Masky have been here longer than any of us but Toby is just learning how to cook for everyone. And yes, EJ or eyeless jack eats normal food as well as kidneys, i don't judge the dude though. I turned back to the living room and saw Elta playing a video game, so i was about to walk over and apologize for how i had been acting and everything else when Ben Drowned or Ben, walked over. I listened to their conversation seeing as they didn't notice me. "So Elta right?" Ben had started "Yep thats me? Whats up?" Elta responded, a little to distracted by her game. Ben slipped his arms around her and set his hands on the controller, this annoyed Elta but she listened to him still. "You know this game works better if you use a Joy Stick~" i felt anger start to bubble up inside me but i kept my mouth shut. Im not her boyfriend, i cant get that pissed off. "Really? Do you have one?" Elta asked and i was kinda shocked. It was obvious she wasn't flirting but was she really the oblivious? "Oh you know i do, you wanna come to my room, to see it~" Ben continued like this was a game with one simple goal. I was going to be the boss battle. I walked over and shoved Ben. He stumbled back and i stood between him and Elta. "Jeff? Whats going on?" I heard Elta ask, so i told her Ben's game. "Elta, Ben here is one of the biggest flirts in the mansion, he was trying to get in your pants by convincing you he had a joy stick controller in his room" i crossed my arms and was about to continue when i heard an angry growl and then see Elta walk right up to Ben, grab his collar then whisper something to him. Lets just say whatever it was scared the living shit out of him, once he was let go he ran to his room. "What did you tell him?" I asked a little afraid "that if he tried it again id break his 'joy stick' and shove it up his ass" I was right to be afraid "remind me not to hit on you like that" she tilted her head in confusion, like a little puppy might "Whats that supposed to mean?" I shook my head at her question then turned, grabbing a plate off the counter and going to my room. I decided i'd watch some horror while i ate my breakfast.

Elta's POV
After that incident with Ben, and that weird but sweet comment by Jeff, i grabbed a plate, thanked Toby and went to my room. I was surprised to find my phone and headphones on the bed along with some of my clothes, i was especially surprised to find my more, adult clothes there too, the ones my father would have been afraid of seeing me in or even knowing i had. I quickly put them away then turned on my music, and ate. Masky and Eyeless Jack came in with boxes of my stuff. Masky took my empty plate "You should unpack, and your father knows you moved away and understands you couldnt be in the house anymore, said to at least make visits" i nodded and thanked them before putting my headphone in and started to unpack. Slender brought in some purple and black paint so i started with that. I painted the walls purple and added small decals where i could. I made sure that on my ceiling was the Dauntless Faction symbol. (anyone who doesn't get that, its from a book/movie series called Divergent) I hung up my posters and set up my book self, then set my books on it including my text books which i'll be needing for the online school i will be attending. I sighed then after setting up my desk, set my laptop up along with my drawing materials. Once finished i looked around, there was something missing. "Oh shit! I forgot my articles!" I had been collecting articles about the mysterious Eyeless Jack, Ben Drowned, Slenderman and Jeff the Killer cases over the years behind my fathers back. I hung those up and studied them. "Slender: Children mostly, Ben: Majora's Mask, EJ: Missing Kidneys and Jeff: ..... What is the same about Jeff's kills?" I told and asked myself out loud. "They're all dead, well minus one" i turned and saw Jeff leaning against my door frame. I blushed in embarrassment i didn't like people knowing i followed the cases. "You followed our cases? Maybe you do belong here" he said turning to leave but something slipped "Y-Yes! Especially yours!" I covered my mouth and he stopped, turned and stared at me. "You were following my case? You were trying to break down my methods and my victims!" He shouted getting close to me. I backed up until i hit a wall. I begged him to calm down "N-No! No i wasn't!" I started shaking as he stepped closer to me, drawing a knife and placing it to my neck. "You were trying to figure me out! Get in my head!" He growled in anger and tears started to escape my eyes. The anger he had in his eyes faded quickly and he dropped the knife, he shook his head and kissed me, my guess was to shut me up. After a few seconds he pulled away, grabbed his knife and left my room. I fell down to my knees, tears still falling slowly down my cheeks as i tried to work out what just happened. Clockwork came in and saw me like this. "What did Jeff do?! Did he hurt you! Are you alright!?" She ran over and knelt next to me. "H-He got angry....heard me talking about his case....t-then when i started c-crying h-he...." i trailed off, still confused but i didn't say anything to Clockwork other then "H-He stormed out....." i looked down and felt Clockwork hug me. "It's alright, Jeff can be an asshole at times but he'll come around" i nodded and after a few minutes she growled. I assumed it was Jeff "I-Its fine Clockwork...i'm alright" i looked up at her, offering a soft smile. She nodded and stood leaving me on the ground which i was fine with and left. I watched her leave then locked eyes with Jeff. He walked over and knelt down in front of me. "Elta.....I'm so sorry, i lost my temper...i shouldnt have done that." I look at him, and he gently wipes my remaining tears away. This man tried to kill me, was a complete asshole, started being kind to me then suddenly lost his temper and threatened my life then came back to apologize....he's the man im starting to fall for. "Its alright Jeff" he looked me in the eyes and asked "Why didn't you fight me?"
