Chapter 7

The Next Morning, Elta's POV
I woke up alone, not in my room but in Jeff's. I sat up and looked around, my eyes locking on his bare back. I guess he didn't hear me wake up but i scanned him realizing he only had on his towel. I felt my face heat up slightly but it only got hotter when he turned around. I saw a hint of red on his cheeks but i looked away and covered my head with the blanket "S-Sorry!" I managed. After a few moments he uncovered my face and looked at me. "Good morning"
He said as if nothing had happened. I quickly stood up. "Thank you for letting me stay with you last night...I'll be going now!" I said extremely embarrassed and tried to get past him but his arm wrapped around me and pulled me back to him, "Elta, its alright" he hugged me before letting me go. I walked out of his room and went to mine. I sighed sitting down at my desk, looking at the articles i had moved from the closet to directly over my desk. I scanned them though i knew them by heart already. I looked at my laptop before opening it and finding all of my websites and tabs still open. I started to shake a little bit when i saw a list of my fears and how to calm me down. "Seriously dad? 1. Being locked in a tight space....actually now that i think about it, i didn't like being in the closet, it felt like the walls were closing in on me and-" i cut myself off going through reading the rest out loud "2. Hot anime guys, funny ha ha, 3. Heights, 4. Authoritative males, that one stems from when you father when you were drunk." I heard a voice "is that another reason why you started crying and didn't fight back?" I looked and saw Jeff standing next to me "Jeff....I-" he held up his hand and read how to calm me down "Use kind and gentle voice until she calms down then hold her, apologizing" he looked at me and kissed my forehead "I really am sorry i did that." He said resting his forehead against mine. "Its alright" i sighed and closed my eyes. A few seconds later i heard a knock and Jeff stepped back. "Hey breakfast you two" i heard EJ say so Jeff and i stood then went and ate. After breakfast Slender wanted me to train with more hand to hand. I looked at Jeff then we both made our way outside. I saw on the side of the house a punching bag had been placed along with a table, it was cleared off. "Im guessing weapons aren't to far away" i said walking over to the punching bag "yeah, i told Slender how well you did so im guessing he was impressed" i smiled and started to practice punching the punching bag for a bit. After my fifth or sixth punch i felt Jeff's hands on my waist as he moved me. "Here, not trying to offend, but you can use your weight and height to your advantage. So when you throw punches, you move fast and at this height you could hit some more vulnerable spots on the human body." I nodded and pretend that this was a person and once i felt Jeff let go of my waist i used the information he gave and put it into effect. I heard him chuckle as i did. After an hour of this he said we could start sparring. "Alright" was all i said. I had discarded my shirt because it was getting soaked in sweat leaving me in my jeans and sports bra. Jeff had done the same. We got into our stances and i waited this time. Jef ran at me and i moved to the side quickly then spun on my heel to face him, not fast enough to dodge his next punch though, hit square in the jaw and i fell back. I decided to follow his lead in this fight. I got up faster then last time and kicked his knee, his leg buckled, sending him down onto one knee for a few seconds giving me just enough time to get ready. He stood and ran at me again and i slid under him grabbing his leg and lifting it just enough so that he wouldn't fall flat on his face. I played dumb, checked the time and my nails then without warning i let him go yanking his leg up not giving him a chance to stand. Then i simply walked a few feet back and waited. I noticed he had a bloody nose now but he did let that stop him, he had only pinned me down once in a fight, that was the night he was going to kill me. I looked at him then i ran at him this time, aiming my right fist at his face and when he caught it i used my right leg to kick his side. He groaned in pain but took hold of my leg and slammed me to the ground. I went to get up but stopped and kicked his legs, he fell right on top of me. I looked up trying to keep the blush from my face. He was breathing hard, sweaty and blood dripping down to his chin. I took a few deep breaths trying to calm my heart rate and he did the same. Once we had calmed ourselves down he got up then helped me. "Here" i said before lightly pinching the bridge of his nose and making  hime tip his head back ever so slightly. After a few minutes i let go and he looked at me. "There no more bloody nose" he said and smiled. I smiled back then was slammed into a tree the bark scratching my bare back. I bit my lip to keep me from crying out because that hurt a lot. "The fight isn't over yet" he said with a sly grin. I growled then thought ill let him win one, so i did what i did last time, i drew my leg up and he pulled back then slammed me back into the tree, i whimpered as i felt the bark scratch in some places, cut in others. He didn't let go so i tried to get free and tried kicking him. He growled and slammed me back again, this time my head and back hit the tree, black dots started to cloud my vision for a few seconds, i knew what he was doing, he was trying to get me to go limp so i did, i relaxed myself completely, he let go and i fell to the ground. "Elta? You're back! Why didn't you say anything?!" I felt him put pressure on certain points and i whimpered loudly. "Sorry, here you have a piece of bark in one of the cuts, im gonna use my knife to get it out okay" i nodded and felt something cold and metal against my back. "H-hurry up" i said then felt more pain but it was quick. "There, why dont we go inside, its been about two hours" i shook my head and stood. "No, im fine, lets keep going" he looked at me, i saw a little bit of worry in his eyes "seriously, im fine" he sighed then got into his stance and i did the same and once again we were fighting. It was about noon when we stopped for the day. I grabbed my shirt and went inside to have EJ clean my back, eat then relax. I walk into the living room and saw Ben and EJ on the couch. "Hey EJ, could you help me out?" I said and he looked at me, seeing my back he nodded and got up. Ben looked at me "oh damn! You look good Elta, mind if i get a better look~" he asked smirking and i just turned and followed EJ, once we were in his lab, he cleaned my cuts then i made my way to my room and changed. Then making my way down the stairs and to the kitchen where i see on the table is a plate of food. "Its for you so eat up" i hear Jeff say from the living room playing a game and i smiled. "Thanks" i said to him "i won!" He said more to the game then to himself and i just chuckled then sat down to eat and went up to my room. I stayed up there until dinner but came back up immediately, i was working on something but i decided i'd just go to sleep and wait until morning.
