She walked over, a soft smile on her face.
I smiled back, my heart racing.
"Hey."
Her voice was sweet, soft, and comforting as her eyes reflected it.
"Hi." I smiled at her again.
"I'm Katrina."
She reached out her hand.
"Colby."
I took it.
She smiled brightly and let my hand go, sighing.
"You know Sam, right?"
My heart began racing again, a million thoughts on my mind.
"Y-yes."
She nodded and sighed again, running her fingers through her hair.
"Do you.. like Sam? As in more than a friend?"
My palms began sweating slightly, fingers shaking.
I wiped my palms on my jeans, nodding slowly.
She smiled and patted my shoulder.
"Well, Colby.."
I looked into her Hazel eyes.
"If you do ever get him to be yours or.. whatever."
She let out a forced chuckle.
"Hold onto him.. he's a real keeper. Take things slow, don't rush him.. Learned that the hard way."
She nodded at her own words as tears pricked her eyes.
She began walking away before I spoke up.
"Katrina.."
She turned to me with a hum.
I smiled softly at her and pulled her into a gentle hug.
"If you ever need anyone to talk to.."
She hugged back slowly, but tightly, resting her head on my chest.
"I will always be here for you."
