"I broke up with her."
A voice rang behind me.
I turned, catching sight of Sam.
I smiled at him, taking his hand in mine as he rested his head against my chest.
"How'd it go?"
He sighed, taking his free hand and wrapping it around my waist as my other one went around his shoulders.
I rested my cheek against the top of his head, taking in his scent of roses as if it was a drug.
My drug.
"Lots of tears, but she understood."
I nodded.
We were silent for a moment, our soft breathes in sync.
"Hey.."
He looked up at me.
"Let's go somewhere.. Take your mind off things."
He nodded, a wide smile forming against his lips.
I smiled back, wanting to kiss him, but fought the urge.
"Okay.. let's go then."
