“Do I have to do this?”

A pair of skates are tossed to me and I stare at them. Seriously, I don't know how to skate and we're going out in the busy streets?!

“Well, you never know when you'll need the skills. Just have some fun.” Gogo helps Baymax put on his skates and safety gear.

I reluctantly put the skates on and the safety gear.

“Come on, (Y/n)!” Gogo is skating after Baymax who almost went into the street.

Oh gosh. Okay, (Y/n) just balance yourself. I try to stand up from the bench, but I sit back down when I feel the wheels roll. “I-I think I'm fine right here!” I laugh nervously.

Oh no.

Gogo skates over and pulls me up. “Don't let the fear of falling keep you from flying. Let's go.”

I squeak and break my fall by clinging to a street lamp next to Baymax.

“Ready to learn how to skate Baymax?” Gogo asked.

“Will (Y/n) be learning to skate as well? If so, I have not downloaded information on skating safety.” Baymax states.

“Way to make me feel less comfortable Baymax.” I mumble and try to stand straight, only for my feet to roll from under me.

Gogo turns Baymax to the steep slope of the street, “Have you heard the expression: Look before you leap?”

“I have not.” Baymax says.

“Good.”

My eyes widen when Gogo pushes Baymax and he goes rushing down the steep street. “Oh no. No, no, no, no, no, no! Gogo, you better not-” She grabs me and does the same thing. “GAAAAAAAAAAAH!” I scream and try to stay up, only feeling myself lose control.

“I am not in control.”

I barely heard Baymax and I flail my arms.  “No kidding!!!” My heart is pounding and Gogo casually skates by us.

“Not yet you're not!” She spins Baymax and he skates into an alleyway.

“GOGO!” I yell when she swings me to speed up behind Baymax and she stays behind us. I have no idea how I'm staying up right!

Baymax and I scare a few cats before accidentally knocking trash behind us and I nearly see a boot fly into a guy's bowl of ramen.

“SORRY! Not in control!” I apologize.

We continue down another alley, scaring some people and- is that Felony Carl?

“Hi Carl! Bye Carl!” I say quickly and he waves with a smile even though he's robbing a guy. I was going to question that when the sound of a truck's brakes snaps me out of it. “TRUCK!!!” I panic and close my eyes.

“Gotcha!!!” Gogo grabs mine and Baymax's arm to swing us to the right. We go down another sidewalk. “That was close!” She says in excitement.

I sigh in relief, but that was too soon.

“But this one might be even closer!” Gogo adds.

“WHAT?!” I watch her skate ahead and in front of us were two guys moving a couch.

“You learn best by doing! Just do what I do!” Gogo bends down with her knees and goes right under and pass the couch and guys.

“Holy Pocky Sticks! Please don't let me fail this!” I copy her movement and barely feel the top of the couch graze my head. I sigh and silently cheer.

“I can not! I have no knees!” Baymax says and yells of fear follow his voice.

Don't look behind. Don't look- I need to! I look behind me and yell. “BAYMAX!” I'm suddenly scooped up onto the couch with the two guys sitting there in fear.

Baymax held the couch as he continued to skate downhill. “Hello, I am Baymax.” Baymax introduces himself.

“GOGO! HELP!” I call when we go past her.

We were heading for traffic and the guys started freaking out. “WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! LOOK OUT! LOOK OUT!”

I quickly reach out and grab the streetlamp at the corner, using all my strength to turn us onto another sidewalk. I'm panting heavily at the speed that's picking up.

“Your heart rates have exhilarated. Would you like-”

“BAYMAX!” I point out in panic as we were getting closer to a couple of elderly folk walking in our way.

“I've got this!” Gogo finally caught up and zooms by to pull the elderly folk out of the way.

I blink and suddenly see an elderly woman on the couch now. She softly pats the side of Baymax's head, “Excuse me. My stop is the next one.”

Wow. She's extremely calm about this whole thing.

“Baymax! The break is on the back.” Gogo uses her heel to brake a little.

I'm so glad Baymax was able to brake and slow down in front of a building that was hosting a birthday party.

Baymax sets the couch down and the elderly woman hugs him in gratitude. “Thank you, Sonny.”

“You are welcome.” Baymax rolls backwards now.

I get up and wobble a bit, but hey! I'm staying up in the skates. That's good improvement. I let myself roll and use my brakes if I go too fast. “I'm doing it!” I raise my arms in a happy cheer even though I'm skating very slow. “Whoa!” I flail, but keep myself up and I grin.

“This was a positive outcome.” Baymax waves to the two guys and elderly woman. He looks at me and I smile. “A very good outcome.”

Gogo skates by us now and turns to roll backwards, “Nice job, you daredevils.” She says proudly and punches my arm and Baymax's belly.

My eyes widen and I stop, “Uh, Gogo.”

“GAH!” Gogo falls backwards off the edge of the dock, but luckily Baymax grabs her arm before she lands in the water. “Yeah. Don't tell anyone about this.”

I zip my lips, locking it and throwing away the key. “Got it.”

We skate back to the Lucky Cat Café even if I was going slow, Gogo stayed beside me so I wouldn't fall.
