tonight was the only night where tyler was the one sleeping instead of josh. reckon tyler can only sleep for a few hours at a time since his insomnia likes to mess him up, but josh liked being the one to protect tyler if or when he could sleep. tylers grip was still tight around josh but josh didnt mind, absently drawing patterns upon tylers shirt. josh snuggled in closer when tyler shifted in his sleep a bit, burying his nose in the vibrant curls and smiling.
a very sleepy tune made josh smile, "awake, darling?"
josh nodded timidly and mumbled out a small 'yeah'. josh giggled quietly when tyler cupped his face and kissed his nose, so tempted to connect their lips but josh held off.
tyler hummed, "why aren't you asleep? a darling like you needs their beauty sleep."
josh slightly shrugged and nudged their noses together, leaning into tylers touch as tyler petted his head.
tyler didn't seem to like that answer, "sleep, darling. you're going to need all the energy for tomorrow."
josh hummed, "what's tomorrow?"
"it's a surprise, now sleep, sweetheart," josh nodded and kissed his cheek, settling back on tylers chest and closing his eyes. falling asleep in a matter of minutes of tylers gently tunes.
