"What the hell do you want?"The room was already occupied with a person Hyunjin knew, but not too well. The individual was sat at the small wooden desk in the centre of the room with a laptop ready and open. They were typing away diligently until they noticed a new presence was situated in the open doorway. The person grimaced as soon as they glanced at Hyunjin's face, not taking any notice of the other boy positioned next to him.
"Oh, um I didn't think you would be working here Changbin hyung. I'm sorry, we'll just find another room to work in then" Hyunjin was flustered at the sight of Changbin. The guy obviously never took a great liking to Hyunjin, which of course made the boy quite submissive and nervous around him. They only ever crossed paths when Changbin would hang out with Felix, which (luckily for Hyunjin) wasn't that often since the two worked in different fields.
"Nah, I'm leaving now anyways. All I can hear is Jeongin dolphin screaming from outside"
Now that was true. Jeongin could be heard screeching like a whistle from just a few metres away. God knows how a literal child was accepted into the FBI.
"True that. Can I ask why you were working in this room though? I thought the office room on your level was always free" Hyunjin stated while accentuating the 'always' since basically nobody did their assigned work on Changbin's floor. He would know since all he ever sees Changbin doing is stalking Felix from afar. It really isn't that subtle but Felix isn't perceptive anyways.
"It was free, but the idiots up there are holding a stupid farewell party for some guy in a wheelchair. I honestly feel bad for the guy coz he has to deal with that. I can't work up there when there's ruckus, obviously, so I came down here. Seriously, are you that deaf? The floor above is literally shaking right now" Changbin groaned while pointing his index finger to the floor above theirs. Now that Hyunjin focused, he could hear the thrumming of footsteps and people jumping. Why were they jumping?
"Now move! I don't want to waste my breath talking to you any longer" he hissed as he grabbed his things and made his way out of the room. Changbin made sure to shove his sharp shoulder into the side of Hyunjin's arm on his way out. Sometimes, being short was an advantage to Changbin.
Seungmin didn't like this 'Changbin' guy; given his first impression was very bad. He noticed that the male was short and kinda looked like an emo wannabe with his dark appearance and all. His attitude was also extremely rude; both to him and Hyunjin. He didn't even welcome him. Seungmin hoped that he didn't have to work with this guy any time soon.
"I'm really sorry about that" Hyunjin turned to him and smiled sadly.
"Please, don't be. If anything, that dumb Changbin guy should be sorry! How dare he say such rude things to you!" Seungmin wasn't angry, but he was annoyed that someone could treat this (*his*) angel so harshly. Seungmin didn't have a clue whether there was some bad blood between the two, but either way, everyone deserved to be treated with respect.
Meanwhile, Hyunjin felt his insides do a backflip. He didn't expect Seungmin to confront him about the remarks. Hyunjin didn't know if Seungmin did this with everyone that was tormented with words, but he still felt warm inside knowing that Seungmin cared about his feelings.
"You're so kind" Hyunjin now widely smiled with real emotion, rather than the fake smile he wore only a few seconds ago.
"Mhm, I know I am" the latter returned the grin smugly as he complimented himself.
