".......what?"

——————————————

"Alrighty people! Order in the court!" Their leader shouted to the other members of the meeting while shuffling his heavy load of papers, "We have an important case on hand that needs to be discussed and we can only do that by shutting the fu—"

The male silenced himself as quick as possible when he realised what he was about to say; but it was too late.

"OOOOOOH! Chan hyung almost swore at us!" Minho whooped, dramatically covering his talkative mouth afterwards.

"Uh, I frickin' swear," Chan huffed annoyedly under his breath so no one was able to hear him, "sorry for the short outburst, guys. Anyways, as we all know by now, case number 0325 is our most substantial task for this month and has been an ongoing problem since early August of this year. I estimated the duration of this mission to go for approximately 6 months, but unfortunately, we have even less time to figure out who is running this drug cartel since a few insiders from the business have been able to get their hands on our info of them. I would have thought the privacy on our data would have been secured by now but apparently it isn't"

"Do we have to write everything on paper again?" Felix questioned, emphasising the 'everything' in his inquiry.

"Felix, we always have to write on both paper and digital documents" Jeongin stated matter-of-factly to the other boy.

"Oh....right"

"Yongbok, I'm just going to assume that you haven't been copying your reports onto a paper copy as well as a technological one" Chan cut into the conversation. Knowing that Felix hated being called 'Yongbok', Chan only used this title on the male when he was on the verge of flipping a table over (which was barely ever since Felix was a good kid; but Chan wasn't feeling all that cheerful today).

"You are correct, sir" the latter gulped.

This was going to be a long day for Chan.

"When this meeting is over, I want you to wait behind Felix," the boss spoke calmly, "Back to what I was saying, agents Kim and Hwang are to be on the field fixing the main source while the rest of us work on various distractions and behind-the-scenes kind of things. Due to some kind of miracle, Hyunjin here actually handed me his and Seungmin's plans earlier today and I've gotta say, they could be achievable. All we have to do is twist a few things around and gather some more ideas from everyone and we'll be set to go within a week or so"

Hyunjin began applauding Chan for his speech, the others following suit. He could tell that the elder wasn't having the best day of his life and thought that the utter least he could do was cheer him on for his good work. Hyunjin was always a struggle for Chan to deal with (and he knew that) so it seemed like a good idea to give the guy a break for once.

"There's no need to clap, but thank you," he chuckled, "I'll now hand out the details of this case and then we can get to brainstorming!"

————————————

"I'm so glad that's finally over" Hyunjin groaned while cracking the bones in his neck.

"I know, right? I almost collapsed towards the end of that meeting"

"Woah, what?! Do you need an ambulance or something?!" He exclaimed in return.

"It's not that serious, dummy. I meant that I almost passed out coz I barely got any sleep last night" Seungmin rolled his eyes at the boy's antics.
