And the connection cut off."Hyunjin? What the hell?" Panic began to rise in Seungmin's constant mix of emotions. He didn't know what could have possibly gone wrong, but there wasn't any chance of him knowing unless he actually went to investigate himself.
"Damn it...." his words trailed off into the atmosphere before taking the bloodied bag along with him on his journey to the first floor. He couldn't have cared less in this moment whether anyone saw him or not. Hyunjin was more important than his reputation.
The chocolate-haired boy sprinted down the steps he came up from, making sure not to hop on top of any piles of (potentially noisy if trotted on) concrete rubble. He made his way down at a speed quicker than most average people, therefore leaving this as an advantage for Seungmin to catch a dumbfounded Hyunjin standing in the far right corner of the torn-down property right on time. He didn't seem injured in the least, unlike how Seungmin expected to see his partner. Hyunjin simply stood in his unbothered position whilst picking and examining his ear piece that was held in between his hands, most likely trying various methods to get the piece of technology to work once again.
Finally being able to release the anxiety Seungmin had just built up (which turned out to be for no actual reason) in the form of a deep breath, the male headed towards his friend with the intention of slapping the shit out of him or doing something just as equally annoying.
"You're such a dummy! I thought something happened to you," Seungmin whisper-shouted and punched the other's arm with as much power as he could force. It wasn't much, but no one needed to know that.
Hyunjin visibly startled at the unexpected voice, his shoulders bouncing up in surprise along with his fluffy tufts of onyx-coloured hair. Seungmin thought the sight was cute, but quickly overshadowed the idea with his previous emotions of worry and panic.
"What? I didn't even do anything! The connection cut off by itself!" He whined back in a similar tone to Seungmin's. Hyunjin couldn't believe that Seungmin was attacking him for something out of his own control. But, then again, Hyunjin has taken the title of 'drama queen' way too many times before, causing this particular scenario to trigger his bitchy side.
"I wasn't blaming you for it, Hyunjin. Jeez, I was worried up there like hell. What if you were being kidnapped by someone or passed out?! You don't know what was going through my mind!"
Hyunjin's face softened at the comments. Heck, of course he didn't know how Seungmin was feeling, so why should he have just assumed that Seungmin was supposedly shouting out of anger at him? The elder highly regretted ever pronouncing his words, just wishing he could go back in time and think before spewing utter nonsense.
"I'm sorry for accusing you; I just thought you were mad at me and you believed it was my fault," he looked back up into the shorter's orbs, a look of disdain shadowing his face. He then scoffed at himself, turning away whilst frowning sadly, "I guess I'm still not used to it yet"
Seungmin was about to apologise for his own actions as well, until he stopped himself to listen to Hyunjin's muttered words.
"What do you mean by that?" He questioned with furrowed brows and a slightly tilted head.
The taller was initially planning on replying with a 'oh don't worry, I was talking to myself' but thought twice about that idea. It definitely didn't seem like a good choice of words to say to the person who had just been worrying about you for the past ten minutes, let alone his crush.
