"Hyunjin, we have a slight problem"He didn't want to answer the phone call, yet he did anyways. After all, he didn't want to get scolded again. Hyunjin has been dismissed from the office many times, but none had been as serious as his last meeting.
"What is it?" Hyunjin quietly sighed for the second time since answering the call.
"There's been an accident on the M3 at the cause of a car-chase that is still occurring"
"Could you have maybe told me this earlier? We're on the M3 right now" he stated annoyingly.
"Well maybe if you checked your messages from me every once-in-a-while you would have known earlier!"
"Uh, well," Hyunjin stuttered while trying to find a good excuse, "my phone fell in the toilet and I accidentally flushed it so don't blame me for not looking at your texts!"
"You really are incredible Hyunjin" Chan deadpanned with sarcasm dripping from his voice.
Seungmin sat in his seat beside Hyunjin in silence. There was no need for him to voice his thoughts yet (since neither Chan or Hyunjin had addressed him into the conversation so far). The statements that were thrown between the two talkers were seriously dumb; but also amusing. Seungmin began to drift off into dream-land as Chan and Hyunjin continued passing useless remarks at each other. The much-needed sleep was getting to his brain as he dozed off on the window pane.
"Wait, why was I calling again?" Chan forgot his initial reason to calling the boy.
"Something 'car-chase'. I don't know"
"Ah, that's right! I need you to follow the car with Seungmin" Chan declared as if it were the most normal thing to do at 1 am in the morning.
"Excuse me"
"You heard right, son. Go follow them!"
"You do realise that I have no frickin' clue where the car is, right? Also, shouldn't the police be catching this guy?" The agent established with irritation as he lowered his foot on the accelerator to switch lanes away from the slow traffic.
"The police have tried their best at attempting to chase the vehicle down, but they were too cautious, or in other words, they were too slow" Chan spoke.
"Ahhh, so that's why you ordered Hyunjin to do the task! Because he has the need for speed!" Someone (that was most likely Jeongin judging by the person's voice) loudly whispered on Chan's side of the call. Hyunjin had heard it all loud and clear, causing him to roll his eyeballs and forcefully make them do a 360.
"Be quiet!" Chan loudly whispered back to the uninvited talker.
"Anyways, I'm sending coordinates to your car's GPS right now. All you have to do is follow the blue line that leads to the perpetrator," he spoke as if he were talking to a 5 year old child that asked 'how are babies made'.
"What do we do when we find them?"
"Try to conceal yourselves as best as possible and then just text me the name of a random colour. It can be anything simple. Don't you dare send me shit like 'flesh' ever again. I swear, if you do, I'll make sure that you're stranded with a bunch of serial killers while I save poor Seungminnie from your depressing soul. And also, do not follow them on foot by any means. I want you to text me as soon as you see them. You got that?"
"Is that it?" Hyunjin questioned, clearly taking no after-effect from Chan's direct jabs.
"Ye—"
