Chapter 9

The Next Day

Maddie's POV

I wake up in the morning with a smile on my face still happy and shocked to be pregnant, I sit up in mine and Caleb's bed and grab my phone off the nightstand next to my side of the bed and check on my social media and text messages, afterwards I set my phone back on the nightstand and turn my head to the right side on the bed and see Caleb awake just staring up at me with his beautiful blue eyes so I lay back down and he pulls me closer to him and gives me a passionate kiss and then a couple minutes later we just lay in bed and stare into each others eyes.

Caleb: "Hey baby, How are you feeling this morning?"

Maddie: "Hey babe, Im good just have a little nausea still"

Caleb: "Awww, im sorry baby"

Maddie: "Its ok babe its just morning sickness"

Caleb: "Yeah I know"

Maddie: "I still cant believe im pregnant"

Caleb: "Yeah I cant believe it either"

Maddie: "We are going to be such amazing parents"

Caleb: "Yeah we will, you are going to be such an amazing mother to our first child"

Maddie: " And you will be the best father to our first child"

Caleb: "I love you Maddie"

Maddie: "I love you too Caleb"

Caleb: "So what are we doing today?"

Maddie: "We have a doctors appointment today around 11 to see the baby"

Caleb: "Oh ok well its 9:30 so lets start getting ready"

Maddie: "Ok"

Maddie and Caleb both get out of the bed and get their clothes out and then they go to the bathroom and they both take shower, after their shower they both get dressed and head downstairs to eat some breakfast, after their breakfast they both go and brush their teeth and wait for a little bit before they have to leave, Maddie and Caleb leave the house and get into the car and drive to the doctors office which is only 30 minutes away, when they finally get to the doctors office they go to the front desk and Maddie is given some papers to fill out, after she is done filling out paper work she goes back up to the front desk and hands the lady the clipboard with her information and went to sit back down next to Caleb and they wait for the doctor to take them to the back room. After 20 minutes of waiting the lady at the desk called Maddie's name and they both get out of their seats and walk to the back room where they wait for the doctor so they can see their baby for the first time, the doctor comes in 15 minutes later and they get started with the ultrasound.

Doctor: "Hello my name is Dr. Kali Johnson"

Maddie: "Hello Dr. Johnson im Maddie and this is my husband Caleb"

Doctor Johnson: "Well its nice to meet you two, now Maddie how are you feeling?"

Maddie: "I am feeling good just some morning sickness"

Doctor Johnson: "Well you will have morning sickness in the first stage of pregnancy"

Maddie: "Yeah"

Doctor Johnson: "Well lift up your shirt and lets see you're baby shall we"

Maddie then lifts up her shirt and then the doctor puts cold gel on Maddie's belly and puts this doppler on her belly and moves it around her belly and then the doppler stops when they finally see the baby, Maddie then looks at Caleb smiling at him and Caleb then looks at Maddie and he smiles at her and they both look back at the screen looking at their baby.
