Chapter 19

4 Weeks Later

Maddie's POV

I am sitting on the couch because im on bedrest, I am 39 weeks pregnant and my due date is in 3 days and my belly is huge and it's making my back hurt so Caleb has been doing all of the chores around the house and he's been taking care of me which I appreciate so much. Im sitting on the couch and I am looking through my social media when I hear the door open so I turn my head and I see Caleb, he looks at me and shuts the door and comes over to the couch and he sits down and he pulls my head to his and gives me kiss, we kiss for a few minutes later and then he pulls away.

Caleb: "Hey baby how you doing?"

Maddie: "im good, you?"

Caleb: "Oh im doing good"

Maddie: "That's good"

Caleb: "Couple more days"

Maddie: "I know im so excited"

Caleb: "Me too"

Maddie: "But you know the baby can come early"

Caleb: "Yeah I know"

Maddie: "What if I go into labor tonight?"

Caleb: "Then we will be ready for her"

Maddie: "Ugh I can't wait"

Caleb: "I know me neither"

Caleb and I sit on the couch for a few and then Caleb leaves to go get food for dinner, while Caleb is gone I flip through channels on the TV and I watch a movie, a couple minutes into the movie I fall asleep and I sleep until Caleb comes home and he wakes me up.

Caleb: "Hey baby wake up"

Maddie: "Hey, I'm sorry"

Caleb: "Babe it's ok"

Maddie: "So what did you get for dinner?"

Caleb: "Spaghetti with garlic bread"

Maddie: "Oh yummy, you want some help?"

Caleb: "Babe I got it, you need to rest that's what the doctor said"

Maddie: "But I wanna help"

Caleb: "Madeline"

Caleb: "Fine!!!"

I sit back on the couch and Caleb goes over to the stove and turns it on and while he cooks our dinner I look at my phone and check social media for a few minutes and then I put my phone back on the stand and I watch TV again for a little bit, A few minutes later Caleb comes over and tells me that dinner is done so Caleb reaches his hand out to me and I grab it and he helps me off the couch and he walks me over to the table and he pulls the chair out for me and I sit down and Caleb then gets mine and his food and brings it to the table and he sits across form me and we start eating our dinner, after eating dinner I go over to the couch and watch more TV while Caleb washes the dishes and after Caleb is done he goes over to the couch and he sits down and he pulls me closer to him and I nuzzle my head in his chest and we watch TV for a little bit, a few hours later I wake up and look at my phone and check the time and it reads that it is 11:10 pm so I wake Caleb up and we go upstairs and get ready for bed, after we get our pajamas on we hop into bed and fall asleep.

2 Days Later

I wake up and see that Caleb isn't in bed and then I realized that he is at the recording studio recording some more music, I then grab my phone and check social media for a little bit and then I slowly get out of bed and I walk downstairs and I make me some breakfast, after I make my breakfast i go over to the couch and i turn on the TV and i watch some TV while eating my breakfast, a few hours later i look at my phone and see that it is 3:15pm so i put my phone back on the table and i continue to watch TV, a few minutes later i hear the door open so i turn and see that Caleb is home so he comes over and greets me with a passionate kiss, we kiss for a few minutes and then we break the kiss and i smile back at him.

Caleb: "Hey Baby"

Maddie: "Hey Babe"

Caleb: "How are you doing?"

Maddie: "Im good, How are you doing?"

Caleb: "Im doing ok, i just got done recording two songs"

Maddie: "Ooh fun, i cant wait to hear them"

Caleb: "I cant wait for you to hear them either"

Maddie: "I missed you even though it was only a few hours"

Caleb: "I missed you too Baby, i love you"

Maddie: "I love you too Baby"

Caleb: "So what you gonna do for the rest of the day?"

Maddie: "Well im going to spend some time with you and then in a little bit im gonna go upstairs and finish packing for the hospital"

Caleb: "That's cool, you want some help?"

Maddie: "Sure if you want to"

Caleb: "Oh you know i want to"

Maddie: "Ok"

Caleb and i continue to sit on the couch and watch TV for a few hours and then we both go upstairs and we finish packing for the hospital, when we finally get done packing for the hospital we go back downstairs and Caleb orders Chinese food for dinner and after he orders the food Caleb and I sit on the couch and wait for the food to get here, about 30 minutes later our Chinese food gets here so Caleb pays the person and then we go over to the table and we eat our Chinese food. Afterwards Caleb and I sit back on the couch and watch TV for a little bit, about an hour later it is 10:00 at night and I start feeling really tired so Caleb and I go upstairs and get ready for bed, after we get our pajamas on Caleb then crawls into bed and I go to the bathroom because I have to pee so I go in and I sit on the toilet and use the restroom, afterwards I get off the toilet and I flush the toilet and go over to the sink and wash my hands and as I was washing my hands I feel a gush of water hit the floor so I look down and so I panic so I leave the bathroom slowly and Caleb looks at me with a nervous look on his face.

Caleb: "Babe what's wrong?"

Maddie: "Caleb, my water just broke"
