Chapter 20

*WHERE WE LEFT OFF

Caleb's POV

I am lying in bed when Maddie comes out of the bathroom and she tells me that her water broke so I get out of bed and go over to her.

Caleb: "Are you sure you're water broke?"

Maddie: "Yeah"

Caleb: "Our daughter is coming"

Maddie: "I know"

Caleb: "I'm excited"

Maddie: "Me too"

Caleb: "Ready to go to the hospital?"

Maddie: "Yeah"

I get all of the bags and I take them out to the car and then I go back into the house and i go up the stairs and I see that Maddie is hunched over so I go over to her and see if she's ok.

Caleb: "Maddie are you ok?"

Maddie: "Yeah it's just contractions"

Caleb: "Oh ok"

Maddie: "Yeah"

I help Maddie down the stairs and I walk her to the Car and I open the door for her and help her get in, after I help Maddie in the car I go over to the driver's side and I get into the car and I drive to the hospital, as I am driving to the hospital I hear Maddie's breathing getting heavier and heavier and I hear her moaning and groaning and crying, I put my hand on her back and I try to comfort her but seeing her crying in pain makes me sad.

Caleb: "It's ok baby"

Maddie: "It hurts so bad"

Caleb: "I know baby"

Maddie: "I can't wait till this is over"

Caleb: "it will be over before you know it"

When we finally get to the hospital I get out of the car and I help Maddie into the hospital, when we get into the hospital we go up to the front desk and get signed in, a couple minutes later the nurse comes out with a wheelchair for Maddie so she sits in the wheelchair and we wait to get a room, we finally get a room a few minutes later and Maddie goes into the bathroom and changes into a hospital gown and then she gets into the hospital bed and I sit right next to the bed and I hold her hand trying to comfort her, a few minutes later I get my phone out and call our family and friends and tell them that Maddie went into labor and they all say that they will be at the hospital in a few so I put my phone back in my pocket and I continue to comfort Maddie, about an hour later one of the nurses comes in and checks on Maddie and the baby.

Nurse Breckner: "Hello im Nurse Breckner, im going to be one of the nurses that's going to be in here during your baby's birth, So how are you doing?"

Maddie: "Im good just the contractions hurt like hell"

Nurse Breckner: "Well that happens a lot during labor but it will be over before you know it"

Maddie: "Yeah"

The nurse checks Maddie and the baby and it seems that they are both fine so the nurse leaves and Maddie turns to the left side facing me and I get up and give Maddie a sweet passionate kiss and then I sit back down right next to her, about a few minutes later our friends and family show up one by one and see Maddie and I and to also see how the baby is doing, They leave and go home a few hours later and Maddie and I try to get some sleep.

12 Hours Later

We are fully awake and it is 11:22 in the morning and the doctor comes in and checks on Maddie and sees that Maddie is 6 cm dilated, the doctor leaves a few minutes later and Maddie has another contraction and it was a really bad contraction so Maddie sits up in the hospital bed and she turns to me and she puts her head in my chest and she starts to cry, I wrap my arms around her and I kiss her head and I sway Maddie and I side to side trying to calm Maddie down.
