Chapter 30

6 weeks later

Caleb's POV

Spent the whole day hanging out with Maddie and Brooklyn since I ain't in the studio recording music at the moment, Maddie is 38 weeks pregnant meaning Maddie is a week from having the baby so im spending as much time with her before the baby comes, I check the time and see that it is 7:06 pm so I get up and I go over to the kitchen and I fix dinner for Maddie, Brooklyn and I, I decide to make chili for dinner so I get everything out and I start cooking dinner while Maddie and Brooklyn are sitting on the couch watching tv, I get done fixing dinner about an hour later so I tell Maddie and Brooklyn that dinner is done so Brooklyn gets up and goes over to the kitchen table and sits in the chair while Maddie is trying to get off the couch so I go over to her and I extend my hand to her and she takes it and I help her off the couch and we walk over to the table and sit down and we start eating dinner.

Caleb: "So the baby is almost here"

Maddie: "Yes I know, im so nervous"

Brooklyn: "Mommy don't be nervous"

Caleb: "Yeah Maddie listen to our eldest, It will be ok"

Maddie: "Yeah I know"

Caleb: "Ok then stop worrying about it"

Maddie: "Ok"

After we finish our food I put the food in the fridge and then I grab the plates and put them in the sink and I clean the dishes while Maddie and Brooklyn go upstairs and get ready for bed, after I was the dishes I walk upstairs and I walk into Brooklyn's room and see that she is already asleep so I slowly walk over to her bed and I kiss her on the forehead and then I walk out of her bedroom and walk into mine and Maddie's room and I shut the door behind me and after I shut the door I turn around and see Maddie sitting up in bed on her laptop so I go into the bathroom and I put on sweatpants on and then I walk out of the bathroom and I walk over to my side of the bed and I climb into bed and Maddie then turns to me and smiles and I smile back and then Maddie puts her laptop away and then she lays down and I do the same then she puts her head on my chest and soon after that she falls asleep and then I do the same.

9 hours later

Maddie's POV

I wake up from my sleep from excruciating pain so I check the time on my phone which reads that it is 4:03 am so I get up from bed and I walk to the bathroom, about 15 minutes later the pain goes away so I walk out of the bathroom and I crawl back into bed and I fall asleep, I wake up 10 minutes with the same pain so I sit up and start breathing in and out and hoping that the pain would go away but it didn't the pain was still there so I wake Caleb up.

Maddie: "Caleb, please wake up"

Caleb: "Maddie what's wrong?"

Maddie: "Caleb im in a lot of pain"

Caleb: "You want to go to the hospital?"

Maddie: "Yeah"

Caleb: "Ok, Lets go baby"

Maddie: "Ok"

We get out of bed and we put our shoes on and Caleb goes into Brooklyn's room and wakes her up, Caleb then comes back into the room and I am standing hunched over the bed so Caleb comes over to me and try's to comfort me which helps me so I stand up and then I feel a gush hit the floor so I look down and then I look at Caleb with a shocked look and we realize that my water broke so Caleb gets the hospital bag that is already packed and then he grabs me and we walk out of our bedroom where Brooklyn was waiting at the stairs she looks at me with a concerned look.
