Chapter 29

8 weeks later

Maddie's POV

I wake up and smile to myself because today is the baby shower and I cant wait to celebrate, I get out of bed and see that Caleb is already awake so I put on my robe and I walk downstairs and see Caleb cooking breakfast and Brooklyn sitting at the table watching something on her tablet. I walk over to Caleb and he wraps his arms around me and leans down to kiss me, after we kiss I go over to the table and I sit down and talk to Brooklyn while Caleb finishes cooking breakfast.

Brooklyn: "Hey Mommy"

Maddie: "Hey baby girl, how are you doing?"

Brooklyn: "Im doing good, How are you doing Mommy?"

Maddie: "Im doing good baby"

Brooklyn: "That's good Mommy"

Caleb finally finishes making breakfast so he brings the food over to the table and he sits next to me and then we start eating our breakfast and carrying on a conversation, after we are done eating Caleb washes the dishes while Brooklyn and I go upstairs and get ready for the baby shower since Caleb is already dressed. After we get dressed Brooklyn and I go back downstairs and see that Caleb is done with the dishes so we get everything ready and then we head out to the car and we drive over to my moms house, When we finally get to my moms house we get out of the car and we walk over to the door where we are greeted by Emma, we walk into the house and we put our coats on the coat rack and then we go into the living room where my mom, my dad, Hannah and Emma are at and we go over to them and hug them.

Tonya: "Hi sweetheart"

Maddie: "Hey Mom"

Tonya: "How you doing today?"

Maddie: "I am good just cant wait to have her"

Tonya: "I bet"

Trent: "I cant wait to meet my 2nd grandbaby"

Maddie: "I know dad"

Hannah: "So do ya'll have a name for her yet?"

Emma: "Yeah do you?"

Caleb: "We are gonna wait till the baby's born to reveal her name"

Tonya: "Oh ok"

A few minutes later we hear the doorbell ring and we see that Caleb's mom, dad and brother are here so my mom goes to the door and opens the door and greets them, once they are inside they come into the living room and Caleb and I go over and hug them.

Heather & William: "Hey Guys"

Maddie: "Hey Heather and William"

Caleb: "Hey Mom and Dad"

Heather: "How are y'all doing?"

Maddie: "We are doing good"

Caleb: "Yeah what she said"

William: "Well that's good to hear"

Heather: "So is Brooklyn excited to get a baby sister?"

Maddie & Caleb: "Yes"

Heather & William: "That's good"

After all of our friends and family arrive at the house then the party gets started and Caleb and I talk with everyone, laughing and carrying on a conversation while the little kids play with each other and then about 2 hours later Caleb and I sit in the chairs in front of everyone and we open the presents that everyone bought for the new baby.

Here is a list of baby gifts everyone has bought for our baby girl

1. My mom and dad bought onesies and baby booties and a changing table

2. Hannah bought a soft baby blanket

3. Emma bought a Winnie the pooh baby bag so i can put diapers, pacifiers, pajamas and etc.

4. Caleb's mom and dad bought baby dresses

5. Gabby and Cade bought baby toys

6. Michael bought baby blankets and diapers

7. Catie bought a car seat

8. Jurnee bought bath set

9. my friend Emily bought baby bottles, pacifiers, pajamas and diapers

10. my friend Jadyn bought a bouncy chair for the new baby

11. Caleb's best friend Harley bought the baby stuffed animals

After we open up the presents we continue to enjoy the party and then about 4 hours later everyone leaves and it is 7:12 pm so we get our stuff ready and then we tell my mom and everyone goodbye and then we head out to the car and we head home, Once we finally arrive home Brooklyn and i go inside the house while Caleb brings all of the gifts in and puts them in the new baby's room, After Caleb puts all of the stuff in the baby's room Caleb then comes back downstairs and he walks over to the couch and sits down and we spend some time with each other and then about an hour later Brooklyn falls asleep so Caleb picks her up and I give her a kiss on her forehead and tell her goodnight and then he carry's Brooklyn up the stairs and I go upstairs into our bedroom and he goes to Brooklyn's bedroom and helps her get her pajamas on and then he tucks her in and then kisses her forehead and then tells her goodnight and then walks into our bedroom and shuts the door behind him and we get into our pajamas and then we get into our bed and we watch TV and we talk for a little bit and then about an hour later we kiss each other goodnight and we fall asleep in each others arms and with smiles on our faces.
