Chapter 2 - What Now?

Lance POV

I look out of the window of the ship to see the familiar blue and green planet. My home. Earth. I start to think about seeing everything and everyone again. I can't wait to see my family, the ocean, the beach, the streets busy with people, the- "Paladins! Get to your lions! You're going home!". Allura's voice snaps me out of my thoughts. "Alright guys, We will leave the castle in some of Saturn's rings. Pidge has upgraded all of our lions so they have cloaking like Green. We will have about ten minutes until the cloaking wears off. Allura will ride with me in Black. Hunk can you take Coran with you in Yellow?" Shiro completed the plans waiting for Hunk to answer. "Sure!!" an enthusiastic Hunk answered. I smile to myself as I get up and walk to Blue. "Hey, girl! ready to go back ho-" I catch my words reminding myself that earth is not Blue's home. She was just hidden there. Altea is her home. "Ready to go back to Earth?" Blue purrs in the back of my mind as she opens up for me to climb up into the cockpit. "Let's go!" I hear "yeah"'s and "Let's do it"'s over the coms from the other paladins.

-small time-skip to Earth(Egypt)-

As we exit our lions we are hit with the harsh rays of the sun and hot sand under our feet. I can feel the heat through my paladin armor even if they have temperature regulators inside them to keep us cool. I still can't believe we're on Earth again! I look to everyone else who appeared just as happy as me to be home. Hunk was practically married to the ground he was kissing it so much. I smile as I look to Allura who is talking with Coran and Shiro. Apparently, Coran tried to set the coordinates to the Sphinx but ended up setting to just Egypt in general. Shiro was trying to tell him it's better that we didn't go directly to the Sphinx because it would cause a big commotion when the cloaking wore off of the lions. Allura, however, was confused as to why there would be people around the Sphinx. Shiro had to explain that the Sphinx was a tourist attraction which made Allura ask what a tourist was. I eventually get bored eavesdropping and go to check in with Pidge who is working on Yellow. "Hey, Pidgey!!" Of course, I get a groan in response. "Not now Lance. I'm working on Yellow to make sure the cloaking stays up long enough." and of course, I ignore her 'not now' comment and continue questioning the tiny paladin. "What are you talkin' 'bout Pidgey?" *sigh* "Okay. First of all, stop calling me 'Pidgey'. Second, Yellow is the biggest lion. The only lion big enough to carry all of us to the Sphinx. So, unless we want widespread panic over a giant Yellow robotic lion visiting the Sphinx, then I suggest you let me do my cloaking work.". "Wow, sorry I didn't know I was just curious, sheesh." I walk away to find something to do when I feel something. I'm not really sure what it is but... It's definitely something. It goes away as soon as I hear Shiro call my name. Apparently, I dazed longer than I thought and Pidge finished her job. "Ready to go Lance?" Hunk calls out to me. "Yeah, Bud!! Let's go!" I say as I run over to him and the other paladins. "Late as always." "SHUT IT MULLET!!". This should be fun.
