I gulped down my water and grabbed a towel to dry my face. Anyone who says that cheerleading isn't a sport is a liar. We put in so much work and effort especially in the couple weeks before a competition.
"Ani!" My one best friend, Sequoia, said, as she joined me as she finished her laps. "How do you run so fricken fast?"
"I don't know, I just run," I replied, giggling. Practice went normally and I even finally landed my back tuck. "Wanna stop at Menchie's on the way home?" I asked Sequoia as we got ready to leave. She went to answer but some of the bitchier girls on the squad walked over.
"Anissa is it true that One Direction and Perrie Edwards showed up to your lame-o birthday party?" Brittany asked. She seriously is the stereotypical cheerleader. Blonde hair, blue eyes, fake tan, popular, thinks she's the best think to walk the earth. I hate her.
"Yeah they did and it wasn't lame after all I had one of the biggest boy bands in the world there didn't I?" I asked smirking and put my bag on my shoulder.
"Why would they come to your party?" Stephanie, one of Brittany's henchmen asked.
"Yeah like how do you even know them?" Jessica, the second henchman, added.
"Oh you guys haven't heard yet? I figured you would have since you're such big 1D fans and I hear you talk about Zayn all the time. Zayn is going to be my stepbrother." I turned to Sequoia as their mouths dropped. Zayn had already posted a picture of me with him, Perrie, and two of his sisters saying that I was gonna be his stepsister. "Ready to go Quoi?" She nodded giggling and we left. We stopped at Menchie's to get some froyo. We talked about the upcoming competition as we ate. It was a big competition and the whole squad was nervous. We stayed there for about an hour then left. I dropped Sequoia off on the way back to my house. I parked and went inside, dropping my cheer bag by the front door since I had an early morning gym session scheduled the next day even though it was summer. I grabbed a Vitamin Water and looked around for my mom or sisters. I found my mom in the living room with Yaser. His daughters had flown home a few days ago and Zayn and Perrie had both left yesterday since Zayn had to go back on tour. I said hello then went upstairs and showered. Once I was showered and changed I checked my phone. I had a text from Liam. I smiled to myself as I opened it. He and I had become really close while he was here. He was such a great friend. There was a picture of all the boys attached to the text. They were all pouting. I giggled at them.
Payne-o: We miss you already :(
Ani: I miss you guys too. Tell the other boys I said hi. Oh and good luck at your show xx
I was walking downstairs and I stopped at the twins' room. There were boxes in there. I frowned and went down to the living room.
"Mom, why are there boxes in the twins' room?" I asked. She glanced at Yaser and sighed.
"Well, you know how Yaser and I are getting married in London?" she asked. I nodded slowly having a guess where this was going and I didn't like it. "We decided that we'd move there after the wedding. This way he can see his daughters more often." She couldn't be doing this to me. It was my senior year of high school and I had finally made cheer captain. It would be the middle of the year before they even got married. I coudn't believe this. I shook my head and grabbed my car keys. I ran out to my car and drove to my other best friend's house. His name was Jax and he was like a brother to me. He let me into his apartment and I sat on his couch. He had graduated the year before and lived by himself now.
"An, what's wrong?" he asked softly. I put my head in my hands. "Want me to call Quoi and you can tell us together?" I nodded. He called her and she got there ten minutes later.
