Chapter 4: Goodbyes

The past few weeks have gone by really fast. Now I was packing up the few boxes in my room and we were leaving in a few days. We were shipping the last boxes to our new house the day before we left and it would be there the day after we got there. I finished packing everything except for what I would need the next few days and showered. Sequoia and Jax were throwing me a farewell party tonight and I had to get ready. I put on white denim shorts, a cream shirt with black dots, and a cream jacket. I put on a necklace and straightened my hair. I quickly did my make up then put on my nude heels. I grabbed my phone and went downstairs. My mom and the twins were eating.

"You look pwetty Ani," Nika said with a mouth full of food. I giggled slightly and smiled.

"Thanks Nika," I replied.

"Where you going?" Mila asked.

"I'm going to Jax's house because he and Sequoia are throwing a party for me before we move," I explained. Their eyes lit up at the mention of my best friend.

"Jax?" They said at the same time.

"Can we come?" Nika added.

"Sorry girls, this is a big kids only party but I'll tell Jax that you said hi, I promise," I said, kissing both their heads. I said good bye to my mom and told her I'd be staying at Jax's tonight. I drove to Jax's apartment and walked right in. No one woulod be here yet besides him and Quoi. At least that's what I was told. I walked in and people jumped up and yelled surprise. I jumped and covered my mouth in surprise. All of my friends were here. I knew they were planning a party but I didn't think they had invited this many people or that this many people would even show up. I very slowly made my way around to everyone and thanked them for coming then I found Jax and Sequoia. I hugged them both tightly. "Thank you guys so much for this," I said.

"It's no big deal babe," Sequoia replied, smiling and I hugged her again. "I'm gonna miss you babe."

"I'm gonna miss you too Quoi. You're the best girlfriend a girl could ask for but we'll keep in touch," I promised. We sniffled and smiled at eachother. "Come on for now let's just have fun and dance. We can be weepy later." We started dancing to the music as Bang Bang came on. I had a fun night, dancing with my friends. Everyone had left by midnight and I plopped down onto the couch tired and slightly drunk since someone had managed to get beer. Jax sat next to me and Sequoia was laying on the floor. I laid my head on Jax's shoulder. "Thanks again for tonight. You two are the greatest." Quoi nodded and Jax kissed my head.

"You're welcome An-bon," Jax said. I hadn't told Sequoia about Jax kissing me yet. I had kind of been pushing it out of my head. I rolled by eyes at 'An-bon'.

"I'm gonna tell you one last time, don't call me An-bon you dumb ass," I replied, pushing him away playfully. He smiled and shook his head. We talked for a few hours and slowly fell asleep. I woke up to my phone ringing and Jax shaking me.

"Pick up your phone," he grumbled.

"Okay, okay, gimme a minute," I mumbled back, grabbing my phone. "Hello?" I asked tiredly.

"Hiiii!" I heard.

"Boys?" I groaned. "What do you idiots want?" I asked, getting up so i wouldn't bother Jax.

"Well then, that's rude," Louis said. "No hi boys! I miss you!," he added in a high pitched voice. I rolled my eyes.

"It's six in the morning here. So help me Tomlinson. What do you guys need? What time zone are you guys even in where you are this awake?"

"Oh we're in London," he replied happily.

"We're sorry for waking you up love," Liam said kindly and I sighed.

"It's okay and I'm sorry for snapping at you guys. I was up really late last night and I've only had a few hours of sleep," I explained.

"Of course she calms down when Liam says something..." I heard Niall say but it didn't sound like he meant for me to hear.

"What was that Horan?" I asked and I could imagine him blushing and sitting up a little straighter from getting caught.

"Um nothing Anissa," he said and I chuckled.

"So when do you move?" Harry asked.

"We fly out the day after tomorrow. Will you guys still be in London?"

"Just Liam and I will. Haz is going to Chesire, Ni to Mullingar, and Lou to Doncaster," Zayn said.

"Well I can't wait to see you two. And I love you boys but I'm tired so good bye. Oh and one more thing, next time you want to call me take the time difference into consideration please," I said.

"We will, bye love," Liam said. The other boys said good bye and I hung up. I walked back into Jax's living room.

"Who called?" Sequoia asked tiredly.

"My soon to be step brother and his idiot bandmates. Sorry if the call woke you up," I explained.

"No it's fine. But you need to spill."

"What are you talking about?" I asked confused. She nodded towards Jax who had fallen back asleep on the couch. I sighed. "Remember a few weeks ago when I first told you and Jax that I was moving?" She nodded again. "After you left Jax tried to convince me to stay one more time. He kissed me and I basically rejected him. I'm surprised it hasn't been really tense between us, not that we've talked much. I mean he's like a brother to me and I had no idea that he felt like about me."

"I could have guessed that he did. I mean he insisted on calling you An-bon, something no one else calls you., and you two have been friends for years. It's the cliche falling for your best friend thing," she said and I sighed. I stayed a little while longer then gave Sequoia a ride home before Jax had woken up. We left him a note so he wouldn't worry about us. I said hi to my mom then went and showered. I couldn't believe I was leaving the house I had grown up in in a few days. It was a weird feeling.
