Tai let out a sigh as he stood in front of his old best friend's apartment door.

'Okay here I go'

He thought as he knocked on the door, he waited for a couple of seconds until the door finally opened to reveal Matt. Matt eyes open wide in surprise but soon glared at him.

"What do you want?"

"Um nobody was returning my phone calls"

"I wonder why?"

He said sarcastically. Tai let out a sigh as he sadly look to the ground.

"Look, you have every right to be mad at me. I abandoned you guys, you guys got hurt because of me but I just want you to know that I'm fixing my life back up. I'm back in school, I stopped smoking and my grades are back up and I'm back to playing soccer. The reason why I'm here is because I'm trying to fix the damages I made"

Matt remained quiet as Tai spoke. Once Tai had finished he figured Matt wasn't going to say anything and turn around as he was about to leave.

"Wait"

Matt said quietly. Tai stopped and turn around in surprise.

"Do you want to come in and talk?"

Matt asked. Tai smiled kindly.

"I'll like that"

Tai slowly made his way inside Matt's apartment and sat down while Matt went inside the kitchen and grab two cans of pop and handed one for Tai.

"So why the sudden change of heart?"

Matt asked.

"It was Agumon who opened my eyes"

Tai said with a smile. Matt looked to Tai.

"I don't understand why you did it?"

"Truthfully I was trying to impress Angel but along the way I was also losing sight of who I was. I was a real jerk"

"Yeah you were. Kari told us you got shot. Why?"

"I didn't want to be part of the gang anymore and that was the consequence"

"You understand why nobody wants to talk to you right?"

Tai sadly nodded.

"I don't blame them"

He said as he stood up.

"If you see them tell them I'm sorry for being a lousy leader and friend"

"Wait"

Matt said Tai stopped.

"We're not done here. Come sit"

Tai went back to his seat.

"Why Angel? If she was mess up, why did you still go to her"

Matt asked. Tai looked to Matt with serious eyes.

"She wasn't mess up. She was tough because what she been through her childhood"

"Do you mind telling me?"

Tai shook his head.

"When she was a baby her mother got her tubes tied, you would think the doctors would say no but she paid big money for it to be done"

"Why?"

"Because her mother used her for she can have sex with guys"

"She was prostituting her daughter"

Matt said in shock. Tai nodded.

"Her mother treated her different, that's why she smoke"

Matt leaned back on his seat as he finally understood.

"Out of everyone in the gang that she knew longer than me, she opened up to me"

"Where is she now? Even when you were at the hospital? Kari kind of left some details out"

"She stood by me along with a few friends until I arrived to the hospital. The polices took her away right in front of me because of gang related shooting"

"She stood?"

"Until I was awake and out of surgery"

Matt nodded as he let out a sigh.

"When will she be released?"

"She has 6 months so she only has 3 more months to go"

"I'm sorry about everything"

"No I'm sorry, I..."

"Don't"

Tai looked to Matt confused. Matt smiled.

"Despite everything, you were helping a friend and this friend return the favor. When she gets out, I would like to meet her and start over"

Tai chuckled.

"Just because she's in jail don't think she will come out as flowers and daisies. She been in jail before its not her first time"

"Your right but it was her first time that someone she actually loves almost died"

Tai nodded and was about to stand up but Matt once again stopped him.

"I can call up the others right now for you can apologize to them right here and right now to get everything out in the open"

Tai smiled.

"I would like that"

Matt and Tai held up their pops and clanked it together with a smile. After a while of talking more, Matt finally called up the others. Once they arrived they were about to leave when they saw Tai but Matt blocked the door.

"Listen to what Tai has to say"

Matt said sternly.

"Oh so now your on his side?"

Mimi said angrily.

"There is no side, Mimi. Now please everyone go to the livingroom, sit, listen and then you can make your decision whether to take Tai's friendship back but please take it into consideration because he doesn't have to be here but he wants to"

Everyone groaned as they sat on the livingroom on the couch and floor. Tai stood up as he began to speak and tell his story. After he was done he looked to them with sadness in his eyes.

"You guys have been with me through thick and thin. I'm sorry I pushed you all away, I'm sorry for not listening. I hope you guys can find it in your heart to forgive me"

Tai said sincerely. Izzy stood up with a smile along with everyone.

"We forgive you"

Each and everyone gave Tai a hug, when Tai came to Sora he sadly smiled at her.

"Do you think we can talk in private?"

He asked. Sora nodded. Together they headed into Matt's bedroom and closed the door.

"What did you want to talk about?"

"Sora out of everyone out there, I hurted you the most"

"Oh Tai..."

She said with a smile but Tai cut her off.

"No, please let me get this whole mess off my chest. I want to come clean"

Sora smiled as she nodded.

"I'm listening"
