*Y/n POV*

I transformed into my altered form, as Yang slung her back pack over her shoulder. I leaned a wing to the ground, and she climbed onto my back.

"You better take good care of my daughter!" Taiyang yelled.

"Bye Dad!"

Yang waved at him, and then clung to me, as I prepared for take off.

The Lake Guardians floated alongside me, as I took off into the air. When I was high above the clouds, I began to adjust my position, heading for the island of Menagerie.

Yang clung onto me, as the Lake Guardians flew beside me, using my draft to keep up.

I left out a cry, as I headed for Menagerie.

[Timeskip]

I had been flying for hours already. I was beginning to tire, and I saw something ahead.

It was a giant Nevermore, with glowing red eyes pointed straight at me.

It let out a screech and continued charging at me, as I saw it was similar size to me.

"Y/n, watch out!" Yang yelled.

I pulled my wings in and wrapped them around her, as I dove down, going under the charging Nevermore. It passed over me, but suddenly turned and flew after me, charging quickly.

It slammed into me, tackling me and biting me. I began to fall, and Yang fell off.

"Lake Guardians! Save Yang!"

The Lake Guardians flew after her and began levitating her down to the ground, as I began to fall into the forest.

*Third Person POV*

Y/n and the nevermore fell into the forest below, destroying trees and creating a massive crater.

The nevermore was sent flying, and Y/n rolled onto his stomach, laying there for a second.

"Dammit."

The nevermore got back up and screeched at Y/n.

'So, Salem sent this thing to get me?' Y/n thought, 'Doesn't look that strong.'

It opened it's mouth, and a red glow began to appear. It fired a ball of fire at Y/n, who blocked it with a wing.

Y/n fired back his own Dragon Pulse, which was blocked by the nevermore's wings, which appeared like black steel.

It flew at him, latching on and biting him. It scratched and scratched at Y/n, who tried to shake it off.

He finally threw the thing off, but not before it managed to create a massive slice across his eye.

Y/n fired a Dark Pulse at the nevermore, but the nevermore managed to block it, but not without injury. It was flung into a tree, cracking it in half. The top of the tree fell over and landed on top of it.

Y/n wasn't done. His eyes glowed red, as he levitated the tree. He smacked the nevermore over the head with the tree, before flying at it. He stabbed his claws into it, before biting down on it's neck.

The nevermore struggled, but Y/n's grip was too strong. He began to scratch with his claws, tearing it's insides out. He then bit down hard, before beginning to pull.

After a few seconds, the pressure became too great. The nevermore's neck began to tear, before his head was ripped clean off.

Y/n returned to his human form, his mouth covered in blood and his left eye bloody and scratched.

"Stay dead, bastard."

*Y/n POV*

I sat by a tree, as Yang and the Lake Guardians came running over. The Lake Guardians began to heal me, as Yang just hugged me.

"I have an idea." I announced.

"What is it?" Azelf responded.

"Let's not go by sky anymore."
