*Third Person POV*

It was a special day across Remnant. A day of love, humanity, and acceptance. Also loneliness for all the single guys out there.

That's right, it's Valentines Day. Or as I like to call it, Single Guy Awareness Day.

On this day, our protagonists were enjoying a calm day, hanging out in a nearby village without a care in the world. Except for Y/n, everyone was enjoying the day of relaxation.

Y/n on the other hand, was confused.

"Wait," He said, "Tell me again what the purpose of this is?"

He watched his son pick out flowers for Neo, and Darkrai sighed. He had explained this three times already, and his father was no where near understanding this.

"Alright, let's go over this one more time," He groaned, "Humans celebrate a day of love for each other, named after Saint Valentine of Arceus' Church. They spend the entire day with those they love, giving gifts of chocolate and cards and other romantic stuff."

"I just don't understand," Y/n repeated, "Why bother with all the material stuff? Humans always were materialistic."

Darkrai sighed, "Dad, why don't you do something nice for Yang and Blake? I'm sure they'd enjoy it."

"Sure," Y/n said, "Sounds like a good idea."

Y/n walked off, and Darkrai breathed a sigh of relief. As he walked, Y/n passed by humans giving each other gifts, hugs, and kisses. He found it strange that humans had changed so much from how he had known them, and didn't understand a thing about the holiday.

As he was walking, he noticed MewTwo, walking while carrying a bouquet of white roses. Y/n followed behind him at a distance, following him. He followed him to a nearby building, and stood behind a wall, watching his friend.

MewTwo stood there for a second before turning, as Weiss walked up to him. She blushed a deep red, as did MewTwo. He held out the flowers and she took them, looking at them. They exchanged a few words, and then MewTwo and Weiss leaned in, sharing a kiss.

Y/n began to walk away, thinking about what he could do for Blake and Yang. His confusion led from one thing to the next, as he saw examples of every possible gift anyone had ever given anyone on Valentine's.

Y/n, baffled, walked out of town and back into the forest, where he found a large cliff. He stood at the edge, and took out a bottle of beer, sitting down over the edge.

"I'm so confused."

"What's there to be confused about, Dad?"

He turned to see Cresselia walk up next to him and sit down, looking at him with bright eyes. He sighed, and lowered his beer.

"I'm trying to find something to do for Blake and Yang," He said, "And honestly, humans are terrifying in how confusing they are."

Cresselia giggled, "I understand. Humans are very confusing."

"Thanks for agreeing," Y/n said, "But that doesn't help with my problem."

"Well," She said, "Jaune has shown me that the best gift you can give someone, is just... spend time with them."

"Hmm?" He raised an eyebrow.

"He took me to lunch, and a walk, and we just spent time together," She said dreamily, "It was wonderful."

Y/n looked at his daughter, and asked, "Did he get any closer than five feet?"

"Dad," She said, "He's my boyfriend, get over it."

"I'll still kill him," Y/n answered, "Doesn't matter what stage of your relationship you're in."

"This has been nice," She said, standing up, "Consider what I said. It can't hurt. Goodnight, Daddy."

"Goodnight, My little moon."

She walked off, and Y/n watched the sun slowly set over the horizon. As the sun spread orange across the sky, he sighed.

"Wasted my entire day," He said, "Thank you, humans."

"Y/n, this is where you are?"

He turned and saw Blake and Yang walking up to him, as they sat down next to him. They all looked out on the sunset,  as Y/n stroked Blake's ears and Yang leaned her head on his shoulder.

"So, what have you been doing all day, hot stuff?" Yang asked.

"I've been confused," Y/n answered, "I've been looking for something I could do or give you guys for Valentine's Day."

Blake giggled, and leaned on his arm. She wrapped her arms around him, and he smiled.

"This," She said, "This is perfect."

They all looked over the sunset, and Y/n let out a breath. A smile slowly crept across his face, as he enjoyed the sun's warmth.
