Deep in his mind Marius had been dragged back to the night, the horrible night he'd never forget...the night Éponine sacrificed her life so he could live on. Oh how he wished she never did such a thing. Often he'd visit her grave and he'd just talk to her. In his dream Éponine was there dying in his arms. She trembled as she brought her uninjured hand to his face the other had been pierced with a bullet and hung at her side.
"And rain will make the flowers.." the brunette have a final heave trying to make it to Marius' lips to finally be happy but never made it going limp in his arms.
"Grow.." Marius muttered "Oh 'Ponine.." he cried "you didn't have to die!" That's when he heard her voice again he looked down but there She was still lifeless in his arms. He turned around there was her spirit still battered and bloody her left arm hung limply unusable at her side and her chest was soaked in red crimson.
"You killed me M'sieur Marius. I loved you. You used me."
"No 'Ponine! It's not like that!!" He cried desperately reaching out for her.
"You were my last chance of ever being happy in the horrible world. Born in the wrong place at the wrong time that's what I call it." Éponine glared daggers into the Male. "Now I'll never be at peace"
"No you have to be happy! Be free Éponine please I promise I'll make it up to you! You don't have to suffer anymore. You've always been loyal I've just been so blind! Oh 'Ponine if only I could close your wounds with words of love."
"Goodbye M'sieur." She replied simply leaving him behind.Marius shot awake letting a cry escape his lips "no!!! Éponine!! Don't go!!" His startled cry awoke his beloved Cosette who was quick to comfort him.
"Marius my love it was a dream.." she hugged him tightly.
"Oh my Dearest Cosette! It felt so real..Éponine...she-she..she was.." he broke into tears.
"I know how hard her death was on you...all there deaths. Éponine wouldn't want to see you like this. Be the strong Marius she loved." Marius sobbed harder.
"Oh Cosette! She loved me and I was so blind and I kept hurting her by delivering our letters..she must have been hurting so bad. Her life wasn't good and I just made it worse..."
"Marius don't blame yourself. You'll get through this.." Cosette(Theses chapters will be fairly short I'm going to go through the struggles and how certains characters deaths effects Marius)
