Barson- I need you

Father's Day

A month went by and it was father's day. Liv was going back to work and so was Barba. Barba woke up and kissed Liv's forehead before getting up to make breakfast and coffee. He cooked and set the table for the three of them. He put the food on the table just as Noah started crying. Barba walked down the hallway to Noah's room and picked him up. 

Barba: "Hey big boy. Let's get you ready for daycare."

Noah started laughing and Barba went over to the closet. He took out some overalls and a green and white striped t-shirt. He changed his clothes and brought him out to the kitchen. He placed him in his high chair.

Barba: "Stay right here for a minute, I'm gonna go get momma."

Barba walked back into his room. He went to the closet and picked out an outfit for Liv; her maroon jacket, black jeans and a white top. He wanted to make the morning as easy for Liv as possible. Today was her first day back a work. He went over to the closet, put on his suit and walked over to Liv side of the bed and kissed her on the head again.

Barba: "Liv, it's time for you to get up. You have to get ready for work."

Benson: "Mmm... I love waking up to you every morning."

Liv got out of bed and kissed Rafael.

Barba: "I put some clothes out for you on the dresser. Breakfast is ready in the dining room when you are ready."

Benson: "I've missed seeing you in that suit. Damn Rafi, your hot."

Barba pulled Liv shirt of and put her bra and clean shirt on her. He took her pajama pants off and pulled her underwear on and kissed her.

Benson: "Rafi, why am I wearing a thong?"

Barba: "Cause you look sexy in it."

Benson: "I love you."

Barba pulled her pants and and gave her her jacket. They walked out to the dining room and Liv went and kissed Noah.

Benson: "Hello little man. How are you this morning."

Noah: "Wuv you momma."

Benson: "I love you so much Noah."

Barba put some food on all of their plates and they all began to eat. When they were done Barba cleared the plates and started to wash them in the sink.

Benson: "Rafi, let me help you with this."

Barba: "I got it Liv, why don't you poor some coffee into the travel mugs."

Liv poured the coffee and Rafael finished the dishes. When he was done Rafael grabbed Liv's hand. He grabbed his briefcase and put Noah on his hip and the three of them walked out the door. They got in the car and dropped Noah off at daycare. Liv dropped Rafael off and then drove to the station. Liv got out of the car and was greeted by the entire squad. There was a banner and a cake.

Tutuola: "It's good to have you back Liv."

Amaro: "We missed you Sarge."

Rollins: "I'm glad you're back Liv"

They all hugged and got to work. At lunch they ate the cake and then Liv left at 3. She had a surprise to plan for Barba. Liv drove to Barba's office but not to see him.

Secretary: "Do you want me to tell Mr. Barba you're here."

Benson: "Actually if you could not tell him that would be great. Is ADA Jenson here?"

Secretary: "Yeah right this way."

She led Liv down the hallway and knocked on the door. The ADA opened it and welcomed her in. 5 minutes later, she left will a folder of papers. Liv rushed out to her car so Barba didn't see her. She couldn't let him know what she was doing. She went home and got changed for the surprise. 

~~~Two Hours later~~

Benson: (On the phone) "Hey Rafi, would you mind picking up Noah and bringing him home? I'm going to be at the office late."

Barba: (On the phone) "Sure. I'll see you later"

1/2 hour later

Liv heard a car pull up and she turned off the lights. Barba walked in with Noah and turned on the lights. What he saw made him cry. He saw a banner that said "Happy Father's Day" and a giant cake. Liv walked out from the other room and kissed him. She leaned over to his ear.

Benson: "Happy Father's Day Rafi."

Barba: "Liv what is all this about."

Benson: "You've been like a father to Noah and I just wanted to say thank you. Now sit down in the chair I have a present for you."

Noah ran up to Liv and started pulling at her leg. Liv looked down and saw a paper in his hand and whispered something to him. Noah ran over and climbed onto Rafael's lap. He handed him the paper. I was a card that Noah had made. In the inside, Noah had written "I love my daddy!" Rafael started crying and Liv walked over and handed him the folder of papers she got earlier. What Rafael saw inside made him cry any harder.

Barba: "You want me to sign these?"

Benson: "Yeah, I really do."

Barba: "You'll let me adopt Noah?"

Benson: "Yeah, I want you to sign so we can both be his parents."

Barba hugged Liv and Noah and signed the papers.
