It was a beautiful day at Duel Academy . . . well, sort of. The inner blue walls of the academy seemed to be glowing from the luminous sunlight that enters through the long, translucent windows. The sky was a sapphire blue and the grass so lovely and green, Sora just wanted to take a little break . . . but the students didn't share his idea, for not once had they looked at the windows, and much less outside. Sora knew they were right; he needed to get back to train more.

Sora was pretty much at the top of his league in Duel Academy, which gained him a certain respect and fear, since he was unbeatable at dueling. Sora has a . . . peculiar way of dueling. He battled with his Fluffal deck, while eating candy. If he got too upset, or the duel is getting challenging . . . things went bad. The thing is he never remembers! Once he heard a student ended up in the infirmary . . . the intercom went off.

"DING! Will Sora Perse please go to the duel area? You have a challenger." A woman's voice was heard.

"Heh, heh, heh . . ." He said as he looked at all the staring faces in the hallways. He liked the feeling. He smirked widely. "I'll go . . . beat him to a pulp!" He bit into his lollipop as he walked off, hearing the murmuring of the students.

     "What . . . did you hear him . . ."

     "Yeah . . . that Sora's crazy, but you wouldn't want to mess with him . . ."

     "Oh boy . . . should we watch . . ."

"Yeah sure . . ." They all said in unison. As they walked off to the duel area.

Sora did like being feared . . . the kids wouldn't dare tease him about his small stature. He crossed his arms and put them behind his head as he entered the training deck. It was huge, with a circular shape, and of course it was blue also. The Arc-V system was intergrated somewhere around. And by the sidelines stood Leo Akaba and Yuri.

"Hey Professor! Who did ya get me to beat up?" He didn't respond, but Yuri gladly did the work for him. Yuri thinks he's The Supreme Lord or something since he gets to be the "professor's right hand" just because he's older.

"It's me you insolent pipsqueak. In seconds, you're ego will be smaller than your stature. Let's get this over with." Yuri said quite bored, waving away a strand of his purple and pink hair.

"Why won't he talk?" Sora was still curious.

"He won't say . . . " Yuri said with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Fine . . . I'll get the truth out of ya after we duel." Sora responded with a smirk.

"LET'S DUEL!" They both said at once.

                                                                                        ☺☺☺

"I go first!" Said Yuri as he picked a card from his deck. "I summon Predaplant . . ." And then Yuri did something Sora didn't expect . . . Yuri cheated. He summoned Starve Venom Fusion Dragon in the first turn! He didn't have Materials or had drawn the Polymerization card. How could he have summoned his fusion monster?!

     "YURI!!! YOU'RE . . .cheating . . . but how . . ." Sora said astounded. You couldn't possibly hack the system?"

"Well, Sora, is it? Pathetic. You know, I do whatever it takes to win. But you don't do you? In your class everyone must be so bad at dueling for you to be at the top . . ." He smiled creepily and slits appeared in his eyes. "You're gone!"

"Heh, heh, heh . . . hahahaha . . .  HAHAHAHAHAHA! Ah . . ." Sora made a wide, thin grin spread all over his face and his pupils got smaller.

"YOU!!! BEAT ME?!?! You supreme scum! Yuri, I didn't know you had a sense of humor. I'll finish you off, just like I did to those in the Xyz Dimension. You're dead . . . like THEY ARE!!!" Sora finished off with a malicious grin and breaking his lollipop but he didn't care. He wanted to teach Yuri a lesson.

The rest he doesn't remember. He summoned his Frightfur Leo and Frightfur Tiger . . . he Fusion summoned, smirked . . . the rest is a blur. Sora just experienced a blackout until the battle finishes. He woke up from the blackout only to find himself on the floor and Yuri knelt, cuts all over his face. He looked like he was in pain, he was shaking, obviously too weak to stand up. His clothes we're cut all over the place, and one of his shirt arms was missing.

Sora wasn't any better. His white socks were cut all over; he needed new ones, his Duel Academy jacket scratched and one of the cuffs were missing. His hairband was gone, only to reveal messy, long blue hair. Sora was definitely not liking this. He brushed the dirt off his clothes and stood up, and he looked around.

He hadn't noticed the big hologram that said Yuri LP/ 0, Sora LP/0. It probably was a tie. He continued looking. The training deck seemed in much worse conditions than Sora and Yuri. Everything was destroyed, The Professor wasn't there anymore . . . maybe he got scared. There was acid . . . Yuri. Sora sped his way over to Yuri(who still couldn't stand up), and grabbed him by what was left of his purple collar.

"Yuri! What did I do?!" Sora asked desperately.

"Ughhh . . ." he stirred. Of course, he was unconscious.

"Tch, he's useless! Might as well . . . he can tell me later."

Sora called some of the opened-mouthed students who were watching and told them to take Yuri to the infirmary. He would have asked them what happened but they couldn't even talk. Good thing they're going to the infirmary! They might as well get a check-up while they're there. Just then a cold, big hand touched him in the back. Reacting quick he quickly turned and punched only to stop two inches away from the person's face. It was the professor.

"Professor! Eh . . . sorry!" Sora said rubbing the back of his blue head. He unfortunately came to the realization that he seemed to be missing his hairband.

"Good reflexes, Perse. Here." He held out a black hairband.

"Oooohhhh, thank you! Errr, I mean . . . thanks." Sora said quickly pulling his hair up in his usual messy ponytail.

"Perse, as seeing you duel Yuri, I have made some . . . decisions." He said emotionless. "Yuri will stay here for now, healing, but he will be sent on a mission, while you Sora, you will be going to the Standard dimension with the task of completing mission 24. Do I make myself clear?!"

"Yes, Professor!" Sora gruntled as he put his hand over his head, like a soldier.

"Good. Then I bid you farewell." The professor took out his Duel Disk, and before Sora could open his mouth, there was a bright flash of blue light.

He was in the Standard Dimension.
