"I'm proud of him. Today was a rough day and he only managed to run away once. That has to be some sort of record for us." Jack said. Michael came back into the exam room to see Gavin blissfully resting. he smiled at the man who not even twenty minutes ago, was freaking out.

"I still can't believe you got him here without him figuring it out." Michael said. The other men nodded murmurs of agreement and then continued to talk amongst themselves until they heard a small groan coming from Gavin. They all looked at him, minus Jack because he was still holding Gavin, and watched as the British boy opened his eyes slowly.

"Wh....where am I?" He asked, reaching up to take off the mask. Jack quickly caught on and gently, yet firmly, moved Gavin's hand away from his face.

"Don't take the mask off yet Gavin." Jack said and Gavin nodded.

"Wh.... what happened?" Gavin asked and doctor Smith decided it was time to come back into Gavin's view.

"Hi Gavin, you had a filling done, but you were asleep the whole time. The mask is sending air into your body to help get the gas out. Okay?" The doctor said, describing the events that happened twenty minutes ago. Gavin yawned and nodded, too tired to freak out. The dentist then removed the mask off of Gavin's face. Geoff took a step forward and patted Gavin's leg.

"I'm proud of you buddy." He said. Michael, and nodded. Gavin closed his eyes again, he was tired.

"No don't go to sleep yet Gavin." Geoff said. Gavin let out a groan. He wanted to go back to sleep. He was having a nice dream. Doctor Smith turned to Geoff.

"If at any point he says he's experiencing discomfort again from the tooth, don't hesitate to bring him back and we can fix it right up." Geoff nodded.

"Thank you again Doctor Smith. You're a lifesaver." Geoff said.

"It's no problem, it's my job to help people like Gavin and I'm glad I get to do so." The doctor said kindly. Gavin looked at the dentist in a dazed state. Who was this guy? What was going on? What does he mean help? Why is his mouth tingly? What is Love?

"Can.... can we leave?" Gavin asked. Jack let out a small chuckle.

"When you wake up buddy." He said. Gavin nodded and yawned again. Doctor Smith sat the chair up and Gavin tried standing up with Geoff's help. When Gavin stood up, he stumbled a little, but eventually got the hang of this whole standing thing. Jack stood up and stretched. Geoff wrapped one arm around Gavin and Jack wrapped another arm around Gavin to support him.

"You did very well today Gavin, I'm very proud of you. I hope you choose to come back to this office again" Doctor Smith said as he opened the door to the hallway for them. Gavin just nodded as he tried walking again. Geoff and Jack took it slow with Gavin, and Michael just walked behind them. When they got to the waiting room Doctor Smith got the door for them again. Thankfully, Ray had gotten the majority of the color back in his face, especially when he knew that his buddy was okay, so they didn't have to worry about staying any longer than they had to. Jeremey walked over and opened the door that lead to the outside.

"Thank you again, Doctor Smith, this was the best appointment Gavin's ever been to," Geoff said as he waited for Gavin to take a step.

"It was my pleasure to help. If he wishes to discuss his fear to find a solution, don't hesitate to call and set it up." Doctor Smith said. Geoff nodded and with one more thanks, got Gavin into the car once again. Jack sat next to him, Michael and Geoff in the front driving with Ray and Jeremey in the back.

"A-are we done?" Gavin asked in the car. Jack just smiled.

"Yeah buddy, we are all done and we're heading back to the office," Jack said. Gavin let a few tears fall.

"What's wrong Gavin?" Jack asked.

"I want to go home..." Gavin replied. Jack wrapped an arm around him and smiled.

"We'll get you home, but our cars are at the office, we need to go get them to take you home." Jack said gently.

"I want my mom...." Gavin said. Everyone else in the car could swear they heard their hearts break for what seemed like the fourth time that day.

"We'll call her once you sleep off the gas a little more, okay? We can tell her how brave you are and how good you did today." Geoff said, still focused on the road. Gavin seemed to like that answer so he nodded and laid his head on Jack's shoulder, careful of the cheek that was still numb. Gavin closed his eyes and tried to think of anything but the numbness in his mouth.

"Just try and sleep for a little bit okay Gavin?" Jeremey suggested. Gavin nodded and grabbed Jack's hand again and brought it closer to him, and slowly drifted off. Jack was a bit uncomfortable in the position he was in with his arm, but he figured if it helped Gavin, he'll deal with it. The drive wasn't even that long anyway.
