It's after school and I just finished cheerleading practice with Cheryl and I'm sitting at the bleachers waiting for Reggie and the guys to consist upon practice. So far I can only see Archie Andrews getting tackled over and over again. Honestly feel bad for the guy, he will wake up not being able to move in the morning.

"Hey girl" I hear Cheryl say as she walks up to me.

"Hey what's up?" I greet as she sits next to me.

"Nothing just waiting for my parents, are you waiting for Reggie?" She smiles and I nod.

"Yep, the usual," I say as the guys start to walk back to the locker room and I get my stuff ready.

"Hey, um it's Jason's funeral this Saturday and I have to prepare the night before. You don't mind staying the night and helping me out?" Cheryl asks and I can tell it's hard for her to even talk about it.

"Oh yeah, of course, it's okay C you'll get through this" I put a comforting arm around her and she just smiles.

"Oh and I'm also inviting Veronica just to see how she actually is and plus after what happened at that pep rally" she shrugs and I hesitantly nodded. "Don't worry A She seems chill."

I roll my eyes playfully and chuckle. "Of course" I see Reggie walking up the bleachers towards where Cheryl and I were sitting.

"Looks like I gotta go" Cheryl pretended to look down at her watch and stood to and walked away. "Hey Reg" she nods to him and he waves back at her.

"Hey, babe" I greet him as he sits down next to me and pulls me in for a long and deep kiss. "Ew you're all sweaty and gross" I attempt to push him away but his grip does me no justice.

"It's not like that has stopped you before"  he smiles as we get up and walk to my car and drove over to my house.

~Night before funeral~

I drove to Cheryl's home and was greeted by her mom at the door. "Oh hey Ana, Cheryl is upstairs at her room getting ready" she lets me in and leads me to Cheryl's room. "How are your parents?"

"They're doing well I guess. Okay anyways thank you Mrs.Blossom" I tell her as I enter Cheryl's room to see her looking at old photos of Jason. "Hey," I say as she looks up and jumps off the bed to hug me.

"Oh my god, you're finally here. Veronica is gonna be here soon but first let's go get some food" she says as we head down to the kitchen and pack up on snacks and then Netflix on.

Suddenly the door opens and Veronica walks in with her bags. "Hey guys," she says sitting down on the bed.

"Veronica!" Cheryl exclaims. "Okay well now we're all here, let's get pampered and ready for tomorrow. But first dinner with my parents.."

"Okay, that was the most awkward thing ever," I say as the three of us sit on Cheryl's bed looking at pictures of Jason.

"I hope this isn't weird but... Jason was crazy handsome" Veronica smiles.

"The handsomest" Cheryl compliments.

"Something tells me he would've liked you," I say making Veronica smile.

"Why did you invite me tonight? Like shouldn't it just be you and Ana or even with Tina or Ginger?" Veronica asks.

"That night at the pep rally after I had my panic attack when Ana wasn't there, you helped me.. not them," she says.

"Cheryl, you're allowed to say goodbye to your brother. But why does it have to be-"

"In front of people? Everything with Jason has been so public, everyone has an opinion, been gossiping; saying he got what he deserved or he didn't. I just want everyone to know that I'm sorry and Jason deserved a better family than what he got" Cheryl explains.

"Then do it I'll help you and so will Ana, we'll both be there. Let Penelope and Clifford Blossom do their worst" Veronica says gesturing over to me as I share a comforting smile.

"They will... they'll kill me," Cheryl says as silence coats over us.

~Funeral~

We all wake up to the sun streaming through the window. The three of us start getting ready as the maids downstairs are busy with everything.

I walk up to Cheryl who is standing in front of her mirror just staring at herself. "Ready?"

"Just about" she turns to Veronica and me. "You guys go ahead, I'll be down," she says as I soothingly rub her arm and me and Veronica head downstairs to be greeted with some guests who arrived early. The whole gang is here and I see my parents talking to Penelope as they share a smile towards me.

"Hey" I sit next to Reggie as he turns to me.

"Hi" he leans down and shares a kiss and I turn to Moose.

"Hey, Moose" he waves back and smiles. Archie gets up and walks over to Penelope holding Jason's old jersey. She caresses his hair as all of us look with shock and just creeped out.

Suddenly Cheryl walks out capturing everyone's attention and to everyone's surprise, she's wearing the outfit she wore when Jason died. "Oh my God," I say under my breath.

"Welcome to Thornhill, thank you all for coming" she starts off as Penelope tries to get up but Clifford stops her and I lean forward.

"You're only going to make things worst" I whisper to her and she sits back down hesitantly as Cheryl continues on with her speech then breaks down hugging Jason's casket.

"I think we'll adjourn now to the winter salon for a light supper," Penelope says as everyone gets up and walks off.

~Next Day~

I was sitting with Cheryl with her little posse, Moose, and Midge eating lunch when suddenly Reggie appears next to me and slings his arm around me. "Hey baby, what's up?" I asked wondering why he's in such a happy mood.

"Guess what?" he asks as I nod for him to continue. "I'm the new captain of the football team," he says as my eyes widen.

"Oh my god! Baby that's amazing, I'm so happy for you" I hug him as Moose claps him on the back and congratulates him as with the rest of the table.

"This calls for a celebration, how about we hit up the club tonight" Moose suggests as everyone agrees.

"I'm in for a little partying tonight" Cheryl smirks looking at me making me smirk myself.
