"What's this?" one head murmured to the other. "Two beings, a cat and a fox, but neither quite that, both also part something else, something magic, working together. Sound rather intriguing to me."

"Well it sounds like dinner to me." The other head replied.

"Now listen up, we traveled for hours to get here and I did not go all this way to become supper to some overgrown salamanders so you just mmmphmmmbmm-" Ella's ramblings were cut of when Rowan covered her mouth with her tail. "Let's try not to anger the large fire breathing monster that could eat us in one bite."

"Did she just say what I think she did?" One of the heads exclaimed.

"I think she did. How typical."

"I just want to know why everyone thinks they're an expert on dragons just from hearing those darn stories."

"Huh. How true."

"I mean is that really how people think of us!"

"Excuse me?" Rowan said hesitantly. "Did I say something that... offended you?"

"Fire breathing monster." The heads quoted indignantly.

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry to have called you a monster. I was just trying to get the point across to Ella that she shouldn't-"

"She still doesn't get it, does she? Dear, we don't object to being called a monster, in fact we are actually quite proud of that title. What drives us crazy is that horrible stereotype of ' fire breathing'. Not every dragon breathes fire you know. "

"Oh. Please forgive me then. I simply did not know there were other types of dragons. If you don't mind, what do you do then?"

"Well, I, my names Alex by the way, breathe out a horrible toxic and highly flammable gas that Emily ignites by breathing sparks."

"Okay enough with the gibber-gabber since you introduced yourselves I'm Ella and that's Rowan and we need dragon tears for a potion to stop her sister from being turned into a dog so if you don't mind...?"

" What, you expect us to just cry for you. You may not be aware of his but dragons are extremely proud creature and we will not disgrace ourselves like that for practically strangers."

"Oh that's really too bad because we really need those tears or else Red is going to be turned into a dog-"

"Why is her voice so high?"

"- and then Rowan will probably go after her even though we won't be able to save her without your tears-"

"It feels like my ears are bleeding! Make her stop!"

"-and then Mali will capture Rowan too and be able to use the twin powers for who knows what evil thing and I'll be all alone and Mali will be more powerful than ever-"

"OKAY! Your non stop yammering has reduced me to tears anyways. Go ahead and take them, you cruel torturer."

“Ooh. Okay then. Thanks. I guess this is goodbye." Ella said as Rowan gathered up the tears in a shimmering ball. They seemed to float just behind her, so they seemed safe to her. "Oh no, this isn't goodbye." Alex said.

"Yeah." Said Emily. "Your story made us cry so we're sticking with you to make sure it has a happy ending."

“We are emotionally invested now, you won't be getting rid of us anytime soon!” Alex added.

“Besides, you've seen us cry; if we don't think we can trust you, we shall be forced to eat you. No one can know we have cried.”

"Oh... That's great then. Thank you so much." Rowan said. "Since you're coming, would you happen to know where to get a leaf from a wood nymph?"
