"We have to rest." Rowan called over the wind. "We've been flying for hours and it will be dark soon. There's a nice clearing up ahead we could sleep in." She had been flying so long Rowan was practically asleep on her wings. Somehow Ella had been able to fly and keep up her constant questions. She wanted to know everything there was to know about dragons and Rowan knew it was only a matter of time before Alex or Emily couldn't take it anymore and decided to make a snack of a certain annoyed fairy cat. Emily especially seemed to be running low on patients, and small sparks were emitting from her mouth. Ella's tail was dangerously close to catching fire.

Alex and Emily landed first and they looked around with insulted looks on their faces.

“It is highly unsatisfactory for us to sleep in the dirt!” Emily said.

“Yes, we really do deserve better.” Alex agreed. They promptly turned and leapt into the sky.

“Wait! Where are you going?!” Rowan yelled up to them, but they either didn’t hear her or didn’t care. When they were out of sight Rowan sank to the ground with a growl of frustration. “I should have known they wouldn’t really help.” she muttered.

“Excuse me!” Alex said indignantly. Rowan jumped up and whirled around. To her horror, Alex and Emily were standing behind her.

“Uhh.. uhh.. sorry..” She said, hanging her head in embarrassment.

“Sorry?! After such insult, all you can say is sorry??” Emily screeched while sparks were shooting out of her mouth.

“Well, in Rowans defense it did kinda seem like you were abandoning us because you didn’t tell us where you were going and you were complaining before you left...”

“I do not complain!” Emily shouted angrily while Alex glared at Ella. “I merely stated everything that wasn’t good enough for us. I was just being honest.”

Rowan looked behind the dragon and saw that they were carrying something. “What’s that?” She asked curiously.

“This is why we left!” Alex stated. “We got some ferns to lay on the ground so we don’t have to lay on the dirt.”

“Oh, uh.... I knew that.” Rowan muttered.

“Alrighty, we better get some rest! We have a long day tomorrow!” Ella said after an awkard moment of silence.
