“What are you doing here?”
“Visit”
“I'm sick and its contagious you know.”
“Whatever”
“Go away! You'll get yourself sick”
“Don't be such a baby”
“I'm not!”
*Ignored the kid and rest his head on the bed next to the kid's head*
Covered mouth and nose by the blanket “You're a hardheaded frog, you know that.”
Shrugged and smiled.

“Okay, class, you will be paired up for your project who's deadline is 2 months from now. You've got a whole lot of time on doing this so, plan and give everything you've got for this project. I'm expecting a lot.” sabi ni Mr. Breemer and I caught him made a glance towards me.
Just because I'm always at the top. Expectations you have, expectations I shall meet.
I didn't care much of the others until a certain name came. “Kiyan, since you're new in this whole charade” sabi ni sir shaking his hands on the process indicating the word as how we say it. “I paired you up with Eliah.”sabi niya giving me a look that should explain everything.
Kinunot ko ang noo ko dito but then just rolled my eyes.
Of course.
Just then the bell rang and the students started shifting. Trying to get out fast from this hellhole (their words not mine).
“So that's all for today your projects shall be given to you tomorrow.” Sir shouted through the noise and the herd of students.
I mumbled an 'okay' and picked my backpack from my side and stood up from my chair. Then a huge figure blocked my only way out since I always sit beside the window.
“Hi there, patona.” sabi niya sabay nagsalute sa'kin.
His japanese accent just my mood lighter. I smiled at this. Feel ko napansin niya ang mood ko kanina kahit na hindi naman halata sa mukha pero I think I've spend enough time to conclude that he has his ways in knowing things.
“Hey, Kiyan.” sabi ko sending him a smile as I walk pass him.
“So, your my coach as the same time my partner?” tanong niya kahit alam naman niya ang sagot, walking beside me.
“Seems like it.”
“Cool” sabi niya still full of smiles. “What do you think Mr. Breemer's up to?”
Kinunot ko ang noo ko while looking at him, clueless.
“Tinitingnan ka niya from time to time. Not in a pedophiliac way but I think you get his message, judging from your bored look.” sabi niya.
Hindi ko na lang pinansin ang pagkaobservant niya and his attempt to joke but answered him nonetheless. “I don't know, I guess I'm used to it.” sabi ko.
Like most of the time.
“You can't take expectations away from teachers. They'll always have it lalo na sa mga top students. Alam kong sanay ka na..but...just..don't stress yourself.” sabi niya sabay nilagay ang maala higanteng kamay niya sa balikat ko, offering a smile.
His words ease something inside of me. Even though na hindi naman ako ganoon ka bothered sa mga ganitong bagay, or so I think.
We got an eye to eye contact again at bigla kong naalala.
