Chapter 18 part 1: Preparing Dinner???

"Oh my... I did not know that you can cook... thou that said, even if you guys are the guest for today, it's kind of embarrassing to ask you all to help out with the preparation of the food." Carin said as she let out a wryly laugh while you and Serena currently was helping her out with the preparation of the dinner ever since she has come back from her grocery shopping. (AN: I think that is what it is call.)

"No... don't worry about it... it does not kind of right to sit around when you are the only one in the kitchen to cook. However, I am surprise that you can cook [Y/N]. You don't look like someone who can cook at all." Serena said as she looks at you while you cut the cabbage to pieces.

"Well... I won't say that I am very good in it, but I can cook well to a certain degree" You said as you start to cut the carrot into smaller part.

"What kind of dishes can you cook?" Serena ask curiously.

"Well a small variety only. Dishes such as Japanese, Western, Chinese, French dishes etc..." You said as Serena just look at you with a dumbfounded expression.

"That is not a just a small variety... You must be expert in it to be able to cook that many variety dishes." Serena exclaim with an impress tone while you shrug.

"To be frank, I am the only in the house that can cook. My parents are lost somewhere in the world due to the reason that they send me and my brother was they want to 'explore' the world. Whereas my brother, Red, well... how to say... never EVER let him step in the kitchen even if you need help!" You said with a sigh as you think back to those bad memory that he has given to you.

"Oh my... That sound horrible. What happen?" Carin ask while she turn up the heat to boil a pot of water.

"Well...There is one time I told him to wash the vegetable as I was busy with something at the time, obviously by wash I expect him to rinse it. However somehow, he ends up washing it with soap and detergent which I wasn't aware as when I came back the vegetable was usually clean. Think that it was nothing, I went to cook it... In the end, when we eaten it, the both of us ended up in the hospital for stomach washing, I suppose that is call? I swear the doctor legit advice the both of us to have our brain check afterward... Now I think back, why did I not realize it..." You said as you peel the potato.

"...." Serena and Carin stood there in silence as they were so dumbfounded at your story. You then shrug as you continue your story as you start to fry some side dishes.

"Well that not all to it...The worst part is this... There was this time after I force him back home from training, I am not sure is it because he is trying to be funny or serious, my whole kitchen went black..." You said as you recall back to that day where 3.35k pokedollar flew out of your pocket due to the reparation of the kitchen.

Flashback

"Hey [Y/N] ... Do you mind if I use the kitchen?"

"Phewwwww... Ack, ack... HUH??? Where the hell did that come from?" You ask as you try to gasp for air upon choking on your cup of hot chocolate while Mightyena look at you with an impress expression. "...Grr (Nice waterfall you just make) ..." Mightyena response with a smirk as you glare at him.

"Well... I just want to try and cook... I have improved ever since I when up to Mt. Sliver to train... and I thought of testing it out..." Red explain as you shot him a doubtful expression.

"Huh... You improve eh? Well... certainly I was wondering how you survived up there but hmm... Okay than... I think I will trust you this time. Use anything you like in the kitchen. I will be in my room, call me when you are done brother." You said as you walk out of the living room while praying that you won't regret afterwards.

However, you immediately regretted after entering your room for about 5 and the half minutes. "Hmm? Hey Mightyena, do you happen to smell something burning?" You ask with a dread feeling in your stomach. Mightyena, who was sleeping lazily on your bed, sniff for a bit and nodded. "For the dame Arceus... Please don tell me..." you thought in silence as you rush to the living room to only witness your kitchen was up in flame.

"What the hell is going in here, Red! Rather why is your dame Charizard standing right beside you! EXPLAIN!" You scream at him in anger as you glare at him.

"Well... I try to cook the beef, but I have not use a stove for a long time and forgot how to lit it on so I send out Charizard to use blast burn on the flying pan and somehow the whole kitchen end up like that... well I guess the beef was too well done maybe I should use overheat instead..." Red explain while he examine the black ash as you clench your fist in anger.

"What...did...you... just... say? YOU WHAT? Putting the idea of it is well done or not, it is not even edible! And what make you think using overheat will make a different? No rather in the first place don't use pokemon move to cook, you idiot! Wait that not the point right now! The Kitchen is on fire! Stop examine the lump of ashes and help to put out the fire!" You shouted as you send out your water-type pokemon to cease the fire along with Red.

End of Flashback

"...well that summaries everything on why never let my brother enter the kitchen." You said with a sigh as you set up the table while the female brings out the food and lay on the table.

"Sounded like you have it rough, child." Carin said as you could only let out a wryly laugh. You shrug as you call the rest, who was currently talking about some of their adventure, over for dinner.

Just as you all were currently eating half way, Sun decided to ask you something. "[Y/N], I heard from Lillie that you are a powerful trainer and have beaten many different kinds of people even Champion all over the region, is that true?" He asks as you let out a groan in silence.

"Well I guess..." You reply with a slight annoy tone as you dink your soup. "A correction thou, [Y/N] is not just ordinary powerful but rather he is a on path with Satan- Ack!" You kick Ash leg hard as he tries to correct Sun statement.

"I see. You are also taking the island challenge, right? If so than maybe in future I could have a change to battle with you. I am looking forward to it [Y/N]!" Sun said with an excitement tone which you could not help but to let out a weak smile. "I see... however when that time come, I will not hold back and will go all out on you Sun. I hope you will be ready for that day." You said with a taunt while Sun innocently nodded his head.

"Hey Lillie, I have heard that you can battle now right? I was wondering if you like to have a tag battle with me later after dinner? Of course, our partner will be the boys." Luna ask her while you look at her curiously.

"Well I don't really mind that but...[Y/N]?" Lillie look at you with her innocent eye while you let out a sigh knowing you cannot resist that look. "I suppose so... but I would not use Mightyena and instead I will be using Wimpod only since Wimpod is my only Alola region pokemon... that said, I really need my second Alola region pokemon." You said as you mumble the last sentence to yourself.

You let out a small smirk as you watch Lillie having her conversation with Luna while you guys were eating. "You really like her, don't you?" Sun ask in a low tone to only allowing you to hear it. Upon hearing his comment, you immediately turn back to your plate as you scoff down your food in embarrassment while looking forward to the battle that will take place after the dinner.
