Pain was something that you had to feel sometimes, whether physical or emotional. Pain let you know that you were alive. Yet faced with what you were now, you wished you were anything but alive. Pain can be expected and can be known that pain is an inevitable feeling, but you never imagined you'd get it from the one bot you cared about most.
"Y/N," Optimus tried to step towards you, but with each step forward you followed with a step backward, "Please don't make this harder for the both of us."
"Out of all the people that could of hurt me, why on earth did it have to be you!" You were crying, but how could you have expected any of this to work. You were just in love, you both were but it was only a matter of time before you had to face reality. Optimus had a duty to his planet, you were just a human. An insignificant little human like you would die long before he did.

"Don't you dare sit there and tell me that I didn't try. I did, you were just too stupid to notice!" There were somethings that could not be forgotten. Only so much that time could heal, but this war had brought with it far to many scars that you couldn't help him heal them all without gaining some of your own. So who was Bulkhead to claim that you were useless, that you weren't even trying to help him?
It could've just been the pain the friction of past and present that his trust was wavering. He loved you, you love him, but again there was only so much time could heal. Tears spilled over as you watched him in disbelief at his words.
"You think I haven't even tried! Bulkhead, I've done so much shit that I don't even know if I can do it anymore." Your voice grew quiet as your shoulders slumped showing just how exhausted you were, and it wasn't just physically, "I think we need to stay away from each other for a while."
