Summary: You were hopelessly in love with the SIC, and he was the same for you. Except your spark had already been claimed by another.

She didn't love him, but she didn't hate him either. He treated her well enough. At certain points, Y/N felt as though the warlord understood that she did not bare the same feelings that he believed himself to. Of course, the f/c(s) femme had been nothing more than a bartering piece, she had proven herself useful to the Decepticon cause. Still, she knew her own spark yearned for another that was not the one she laid beside at night. That was where the sneaking around began.

There were many mechs and femmes that wouldn't understand why she loved the mech she did. He could be a bit arrogant and maybe he was constantly trying to kill her forced sparkmate, there was a side of him that only Y/N was allowed to see. She was the one that had brought out this side of him. Still, much of that hadn't begun until they found themselves on earth. There would always be a part of her spark that would remain with Megatron, it was on these nightly adventures sneaking around the Nemesis. Soundwave pretending that he didn't see her slinking her way towards the groundbridge. Not even acknowledging when she disappeared, and a half hour later Starscream followed.

"Y/N?"

His job was to follow whatever coordinates the femme had chosen, tonight's choice of destination was close to the sea. He could hear the waves from this distance, but still he was surrounded by trees. Then he hear giggling, and a flash of
f/c(s) running between the trees. He followed, it seemed it was a game of chase for the evening.

Y/N felt free out in the open, the breeze blowing over her frame as she ran through the forest. It was such a different feeling of being suffocated aboard the Nemesis. The fear of being caught, but yet the thrill of the possibility was still there. It was here far away from that cursed ship that she felt free, and she could receive the love from the mech she cared for the most. Though she never did say she was an easy femme to catch as she forced Starscream to chase after her. Y/N could hear him calling out to her, but she didn't stop until she saw the break in the trees.

Then she found herself tumbling onto the sand, a heavy weight tackling her. She laughed as Starscream hovered over her now, their faceplates were so close. Her giggles quieting down as they stared into each other's optics, why couldn't she have even promised to him? She could ask why her spark had to make her love him, because in moments of doubt and fear she wished she could will herself to force the feelings she felt for Star onto her actual sparkmate.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Starscream pressing his derma against hers. The doubt withered away, servos moved to caress the shape of her frame. Y/N let her optics close as she kissed back, and it was in that moment that both Decepticons knew that they would die for each other. That this affair wasn't for the thrill, it was a shared love. Maybe it would come back for them in the future, but for now they were happy.

Eventually the make out session ceased, optics filled with unbridled lust as Y/N glanced at the sky.

"The sun will be rising soon, I've been told they're beautiful." She spoke as she stood up on her pedes.

"Nothing can be more beautiful than a femme such as yourself." Starscream smirked, appreciating the fact that he could still make her faceplate turn blue from embarrassment from his compliments.

"Can't we stay to watch it? We'll say we were investigating a possible energon mine or something. Please?" Y/N begged, forcing Starscream to relent with a sigh of defeat.

They were to deal with consequences later. They stayed to watch the sunrise. Starscream could tell anyone how it looked as he wasn't focused on that, the pure joy and amazement that crossed the femmes faceplate was something he appreciated in seeing much more. Her optics were a light with pure delight and fascination.
