CHAPTER TWENTYONE
She stared blankly for a moment and couldn't move her body was frozen with fear. As she eventually felt movement in her legs she went to stand, to escape but as she did Crowley's hand swiftly grabbed hers with a firm grip and coursed her to forcefully fall to her seat again.
"Well then love, shall we talk for a moment," his voice was sly as he slowly turned to look at the vampire seated only a few benches away. "I understand you are busy but this won't take long," he mocked chuckling to himself as he poured himself a glass of water from the jug placed on the table.
Jane couldn't help with growl under her breathe 'Why must he play games with me?' she thought holding back her fists under the table.
"I like to play games while I wait Emily you should know that," as if he was reading her mind he replied.
"Jane," she hissed at him
"Oh yes that's right, that's what you call yourself now isn't it, very pitiful if you ask me," he toke a drink of his glass and continued as Jane tried to watch the vampire in the other bench ignoring him while trying to look like his presence didn't course her to teamer.
"You're scared, I know you are, but I also know you remember don't you, you remember more than you let on" he replied again as if looking straight through her façade. She ignored him again swallowing hard at the lump now forming in her throat she didn't, she couldn't saw him her weakness she wasn't going to encourage him.
He sat there for a moment in silence watching her watch the vampire, he smirked and toke another drink of his glass and chuckled to himself looking as if he remembered something.
"oh, I mean to ask you, how did it go with my witchy friends?" he paused while Jane's face lit up to his attention now devoted to him which was what he wanted.
"That was you?" the lump in her throat getting the better of her as she choked out the words not wanting him to see her weak side was fading quickly.
"Ha," he laugh to himself loudly "Yes of course it was, I wanted to test those friends of yours. They really do seemed to care for you," he toke another drink "Would be a shame if something was to happen to them," as he spoke Jane felt her hands shake and her nails bit down into her palm as she formed fists.
"Don't you dare touch them," she shot out louder than expected making people turn to them almost catching the attention of the vampire she was stalking.
"Shh," he placed a finger on her lip "Don't want to blow your cover now do you," she shoved him pushing his hand away.
"Have you told them?" He asked smirking finishing off his glass, Jane didn't reply instead went back to the vampire who was starting to get up she slowly watched waiting for the perfect time to follow, ignoring Crowley.
"Oh you haven't have you, ha, well this is just priceless," he chuckled rising as she did.
"Why do you even care what do you want from me, I'm not....." she stopped again still finding it hard to say the word "I'm not one of you, anymore," she pushed passed him and walked out following the vampire weary of where he was going and how fare she needed to be for him to catch on.
She turned around as she walked out of the door and found no trace of Crowley she toke a deep breathe of relief but as she turned around she was face to face with him again this time their nosing almost touching.
"You would like to think that wouldn't you," he said his breathe pushing up against her face coursing her to step back, he smelt of death and alcohol.
"What are you going on about?" her tried to avoid him stepping this side and that to get around but he was there every time she tried to get away, and the vampire was getting away in his care starting up and leaving the parking lot.
