Chapter 6: NiGHTS' Task

(3rd POV)

           NiGHTS flew around the sleeping worlds. It greeted people with open smiles and jokes around with a few people. However, it flew to Traverse Town and found Joshua.

"Hello, Joshua!" NiGHTS greeted.

Joshua flew to NiGHTS.

"Hi NiGHTS. How have you been?" he asked it.

"I'm doing wonderful! However, do you sense darkness coming?" NiGHTS asked curiously.

Joshua nodded as he replied, "Yes and it has me worried. I have never sense darkness this great before"

NiGHTS nodded as it said "I keep having this feeling and seeing this dream. It's a young girl. She's crying"

Joshua was surprised.

"How often do you see this dream?" Joshua asked concerned.

NiGHTS thought about this and answered "A very long time"

Joshua looked at Shiki and Neku. The two of them were happily walking around the town. NiGHTS could feel how happy their dreams were. NiGHTS glanced at Joshua.

"Hey, do you still know those keybladers?" NiGHTS asked curiously.

"Yes, but if you want to learn anything, you need to talk to their Master. He lives in a tower" Joshua said with a warm smile.

NiGHTS thanked Joshua and flew to the tower. It had to tell the Master about the dreams of the young girl. NiGHTS arrived at the tower and it flew to the top floor.

"Hello! I'm looking for a master!" it cried.

A blue light shined to the center of the tower. It felt to the main chamber and saw a very old man sitting in a chair.

"Are you the Master?" it asked.

"I am Master Yen Sid. NiGHTS, why have you come here?" he asked tiredly.

"I keep having this strange dream. A girl is at this palace and she's crying!" NiGHTS said seriously.

"What did she look like?" the Master asked.

NiGHTS thought about this and it said thoughtfully "I believe she looked like a small girl with black hair. I think she is from Japan"

The master was surprised.

"NiGHTS, we might need your help" the master said calmly.

NiGHTS was surprised, and the master said "Something dark is coming and this darkness will try to destroy everything. That girl you saw will play an important part in all of this. Can you please look out for her?"

The Master looked very sad. NiGHTS looked into his dreams. It saw the younger version of the Master. The Master was with three other people. They were close friends. Their Master was creating objects and powers while his students were learning his skills. However, the Master took another student in. This student was dark. Nothing else. That darkness caused many troubles. The three friends were lost, and the Master was gone. NiGHTS was silently crying.

"I'll do what I can to help, but you will need help to stop this darkness. I don't think one girl can do this" NiGHTS said with concern.

The Master was surprised that NiGHTS quickly discovered his past so quickly.

"There will 16 children here soon. Those 16 kids will be able to stop this darkness together. We have to wait for them, but they can do this" Master Yen Sid replied.

NiGHTS nodded and asked, "What can I do?"

Master Yen Sid answered "I need you to take care of that girl. Find and help her. Prepare her for the darkness coming"

NiGHTS nodded, and it flew to help the palace he saw the girl. The girl was crying when it arrived. NiGHTS embraced her and then took her to the tower. The girl was later cared for by NiGHTS and her other friends. NiGHTS continued to keep watch over the girl and the tower. It would not let her feel the sadness and pain Master Yen Sid had gone through, because no one should go through that pain alone. NiGHTS then flew around the tower to prepare for the darkness to come. However, NiGHTS did see happiness in the girl's future and that made it happy.
