THE NEXT DAY.
You were sitting on your bed wondering what you were going to do this weekend as you stuffed your last items in a brown box.
"Hey, Jimin? This one is ready to go!" You tapped your fingers on the box and waited for him to carry it out towards the moving truck. Your campus wasn't too far from here, but you couldn't lug all of your stuff in just one car.
"Great. I'll meet you downstairs." He smiled and took ahold of the box as he carried it downstairs.
You took one last look at the room you grew up in. You had so many memories here. It wasn't empty, but it felt like it was.
You walked downstairs and kissed your mom goodbye.
"You're leaving me already?" Your mom twisted a strand of your hair around her finger.
"I have to get myself situated before I actually begin my lessons."
"Oh, alright, but promise me to visit me this weekend." She suddenly wrapped her arms around you and pulled you in for a hug.
You stuffed your nose into her shoulder and hugged her back, not wanting to let go. "I promise. I'll call you every night too. Just before I go to bed."
You felt her head nod in agreement. "My baby Y/N. She's growing up already. Where has the time gone?" She pulled away and looked into your eyes. You noticed a tear fall off of her cheek. "I'm going to be okay, I promise." You gave her a reassuring smile before releasing yourself out of her embrace.
Just before you could walk out of the door, she blurted, "And no hanging around any boys!"
You chuckled. "I don't plan on it." You took a glance at Jimin and he seemed to have lost it. He laughed like crazy. You playfully hit his arm and headed towards your car.
*~*
After getting your boxes into your dorm, you said goodbye to Jimin and started to unpack your things. You wondered if you had this room all to yourself.
"Hm, probably not." You said to yourself.
Just as you finished getting organized, you heard a soft knock on the door.
"It's open!" You yelled loud enough for the person behind the door to hear you.
They opened the door and it revealed a girl with pretty lips and short hair.
"Oh! You must be my roommate!" She suddenly walked up towards you and flashed you a wide smile. "I'm Joy!" I smiled back, "I'm Y/N, happy to be your roommate."
"You look like you just moved in here too! I'm moving in tomorrow but I just wanted to check out the place to see what I could bring."
You then took a look at the place and it was filled with your own furniture and your personal items. "Um..." You chuckled nervously. "I thought I was sharing a room with only myself, I'm sorry! Your side will be cleared by tomorrow."
"Thanks!" She walked around and just observed the room.
"So where did you come from? Which high school?" She broke the silence.
"Hwanghe," You nodded.
"Really?! I did too! How come we didn't notice each other?" She sat beside you on your bed.
"Probably because I spent most of my time alone. I was working really hard to go to a college like this."
"Ah..." She grinned. She's so pretty, you thought. You figured every guy was chasing after her by now.
"Well, it was nice meeting you, Y/N! I hope to be good friends."
"You too!" You waved goodbye and then flopped down on your bed.
You were already finished unpacking so what else were you going to do? You sighed to yourself in frustration. You just decided to get a cup of coffee and then come back and set up your desk area for tomorrow.
»COFFEE SHOP«
"Hi, can I get a vanilla iced coffee, please? Thank you." You dug your way into your small wallet and pulled out a five dollar bill.
After you paid and got your coffee, you went to sit at one of the coffee tables and played on your phone for some time. Hoping to be alone.
You heard sudden whispers behind you.
"Oh my gosh? Who is he?"
"He's such a Prince."
"Didn't you hear? He's part of Namjoon's company. The princes sure do get together." They giggled.
You looked up from your phone and rolled your eyes in disgust after seeing the least person you'd expect.
Jungkook.
You also didn't expect to see him with someone, let alone a woman. Well, you shouldn't be surprised. He had his arm wrapped around her waist as she whispered something in his ear. He smirked and whispered something back in her ear which made her giggle.
You were utterly disgusted. You just turned your head and faced the open window, watching the raindrops cry against the glass.
A few minutes later, you looked around and they weren't there. You let out a breath and took your iced coffee and left the coffee shop. The rain had already stopped and you felt the sun starting to push its way through the dark clouds.
You started walking in the direction of your campus until a hand wrapped around your wrist and turned you around forcefully.
You looked up to look at the figure who dared to interrupt your alone time.
"Jungkook?"
