Colleen Holt
It had been a year since Katie had gone away. It had been two since Matt and Sam had died on the Kerberos Mission. Both tragic events had seemed like they had happened so very long ago, millennia ago even. But Colleen Holt refused to give up on her family. One day she would see her husband and children again. Until that day, she would help those who had lost people they cared about too.
She would help the McClain family with the loss of their beloved Lance. The Garretts were grieving the loss of their boy Hunk and she's intended to help them. Adam was known to come over every once in a while. He had known both Takashi Shirogane, who had died along with Sam and Matt, and Keith, who had disappeared with Hunk, Lance, and Katie. The only problem was that she had no way of contacting Shiro's family. As for Keith, he'd had nobody but Adam and Shiro. His mother had left and his father had died. But Colleen Holt was determined to help these people as best as she could. And in return, they helped her as well.
Almost two years after Katie had left, there was a loud noise overhead. Looking out of her window in the kitchen, she saw an alien pod that she would later come to know had been built by Alteans and was piloted by Sam, who was finally coming home. She smiled, knowing that it was some sort of sign. Her family was coming home at long last.
The Paladins of Voltron (Allura, Coran, Hunk, Keith, and Lance)
Pidge had left not too long ago to find her brother, Matt. She'd finally had a breakthrough. Soon, they would have a new ally in the fight against Lotor, who had taken Zarkon's place after their fight. Shiro had been missing, but was back now. They had defeated some Galra and freed several planets. Pidge would be back soon with Matt and help with restoring a city from their most recent fight against the Empire.
Takashi Shirogane
The astral plane was so quiet, but it was almost maddening. He had tried recently to get a message through to Lance, to warn him about the clone, but he had not been heard. He knew that Lance had been unable to hear him. He had not been strong enough. He knew that Matt was alive and well. Soon, he and Pidge would be reunited and could find their father. But even in the peace and quiet of the astral plane, Takashi Shirogane lived through his memories many times over and could never stop feeling guilty about leaving Adam. But more, he would feel forever worried about the Paladins of Voltron and their fates.
Katie Holt
She was so close. She could feel it! Her brother was so close! Te-Osh had died trying to help her people. She had made sure that it wasn't in vain. But Te-Osh had given her something that she would never forget- a way to Matt. The signal led her to an empty planet, but it was going to be okay because Matt would be hidden there somewhere, she just knew it!
And then she found his grave. Matt had died. Matt was gone. Katie Holt cried for the loss of a brother she believed she would never get to see again. She would never get to tell her brother that she should have never let him go on that mission. She would never get to tell him off for leaving her and her mother alone on Earth to greive for them. She would never get to tell him that no amount of teasing would ever stop her love for her older brother who had always been there for her in times of need.
And then she focussed. And then she knew where to go and what to do.
Matthew Holt
Te-Osh's death had been just recently learned and hurt Matt so much. He and Olia had been meeting up again when they had found out. They had been named the new leaders of the rebels then. But Olia wanted, as Matt predicted, to fly more than anything in the universe. And so he had let her go. He would lead the rebels by himself. Of course he didn't want this, but it was unavoidale.
