Berkley Pov.
Today is one of the saddest days of my life. My friends are leaving here and going back to Arkansas. And I can't believe they are leaving all ready I'm sad to see them leave but I know that they have to go back home.
But at the moment I am currently sitting on the couch with Harmony laying on top of me, while my friends are either sitting on the chair or the floor.
" I'm going to miss you. I wish you could come back home with us." Robbie said.
" so what are y'all going to do before y'all leave?" Harmony asked.
We all shrugged our shoulders because we honestly didn't have a clue on what to do. I had thought we could just stay in the house and chill for a couple more hours.
" how about we go swimming?" I suggested.
All of my friends had agreed. I looked down at Harmony to see what she thought and she just shrugged her shoulders, so I took it as a yes.
" we will meet back here at 1." I said.
The four guys nodded and left Stephen and Kami's house. I went back to watching tv when I heard Harmony mumble something against my stomach.
" hey before we get ready let's play a video game." Harmony mumbled.
While Harmony got up to grab two controllers from the game box, I chose what game to play, there was so many to chose from. Then I picked the first game I saw NBA 2K19.
After I picked the game I helped Harmony finish untangling the controller cords from one of another.
" so, um ... what game are we playing?" She asked.
" NBA 2K19." I replied.
She nodded.
As soon as I said the name, Harmony and I heard rapid footsteps racing down the staircase where we saw Stephen and Jole smiling like fucking idiots.
" we heard NBA 2K19." They said in perfect unison.
I looked at Harmony and she looked at me, we both were confused and lowkey kinda scared. Next thing we know Kami comes into the living room for the kitchen with a mug of something hot in her hand.
" by the way this is their favorite game to play and they can be alittle competitive so watch out they tend to take this game seriously." she said.
We nodded not understanding what we were getting ourselves into. Jole quickly untangled 2 more controller's and plugged them into the game.
"okay just plugged in the extra controllers and I was thinking that we should obviously to 2 vs 2 to see who is the superior team. The teams are going be Jole and Harmony and Berkley and I. And I don't want to hear 'can we switch teams?' either because if it's us against you two we will win and that's just not fair, so come on let's play the game." Stephen said.
I was alittle confused as to what was going on, but I went with it because I thought this was going to be fun.
To be honest I didn't even know how to play, and I could tell neither did Harmony. It was easy to controls the players and everything but I was still have difficulty with how the game goes. Harmony was having more trouble as I was since she has never played video games before.
15 minutes into the second half of the game Stephen was telling Harmony get your head in the game. And all I hear from Jole is 'come on' and don't you want to win.'
I looked over at Kami who was sitting on the chair in the corner drinking tea and amusingly watching us struggle.
" help us" I mouthed.
