"But I don't want to go!" Anna shrieks.
I sigh and put my book down. Looking over the banister in our icy white house, I peer into the living room where our mom and dad are talking to Anna. "
"Boarding school will be good for both you and your sister," mom says.
I shift my position from where I'm standing, and a floorboard creaks. Dad looks up at me.
"Elsa, come downstairs please," he says.
I walk cautiously down the stairs. Mom and dad gave me the news last week; Anna and I would be attending West Grove Academy, a boarding school in the well to do country side. All I knew is they had a fantastic academics and music program, so I was on board for the most part. Mom and Dad knew Anna would freak though, so they decided to wait to tell her until the day before we left, which is today. I sit down on the couch next to a sobbing Anna.
"Are you packed and ready to go Elsa?" Dad asks. I nod. "Help Anna out then, would you?" He asks hopefully.
I lead her back upstairs and into her springtime pink room. She sniffles again as I pull a large suitcase out of her closet.
"It'll be ok Anna," I say. "We'll meet lots of new people." She nods a bit. "And I'll be there with you" I add.
"I guess so" she whispers.
"Come on then," I say, pulling her up. I dance around the room with her which makes her crack a smile. "Let's get you packed."
