Elsa's POV:
"Test it out," says the doctor.
A week has passed since hiccups accident, and he's been fitted for a prosthetic leg. He's finally being released today. He takes a few wobbly steps, but quickly gets the hang of it. I smile.
"Let's go," I say.
We get in the car, and turn up the radio to listen to christmas music. But it's soon interrupted. "They're gone," hisses a hoarse voice. Punzie and I exchange a confused look.
As we come to an intersection and stop behind a few cars, a big black truck comes out of no where and crashes into two cars.
Jack jumps out.
"Stay here," he commands, but no one listens.
We all jump out after him and run up to the crash. Blood is everywhere. I cover my mouth with my gloved hand. There are bodies outside of the cars. They aren't moving.
Anna runs up to two bodies near one of the cars.
"Mommy! Daddy!" She screams.
My heart stops. What is she talking about? I run up to her, to find my parents laying in the road. Moms leg is gone, and she's lost so much blood I know she's gone.
Dads eyes are open, and he's gasping for breath.
"Daddy?" I ask. "Elsa, Anna," he coughs. "I love you both." His eyes close.
"No!" I scream, hitting his chest. "No!"
Jack runs up to two bodies with brown hair.
"Emma! Mom!" He shrieks.
He falls to his knees and begins sobbing. I hear another person screaming, and through my tears, I can see astrid crying hysterically. Her parents are lying next to her feet, and hiccup is holding her, trying to get her to calm down.
The police show up, and try to get us to back away.
"No!" I scream, hitting the cop.
"That's my mom and dad!"
"I need you to back away." Says the cop calmly.
Jack runs to me, and holds me to him.
"No." I say. "No. No."
Jacks POV:
the school has let us go home for a while, all nine of us. Rapunzel and Eugene go to her house, Kristoff goes home to his adoptive family and hiccup goes home to his dad. The rest of us go to Merida's, since she's the closest one to us. It's late.
We've been at the police station all day, answering questions. Merida, Elsa, Anna and astrid go to sleep, but I can't relax no matter what.
I go onto the balcony in Merida's room, and stare at the moon, fresh tears brimming in my eyes.
"Why?" I ask the sky.
"You poor baby," says a voice in the shadows.
I turn around, and pitch emerges.
"You?!" I say in disbelief.
"What a lucky guess," he says.
"Why would you do such a thing?" I ask. "What did we ever do to you to deserve this?"
Pitch laughs.
"Like you don't know."
"I don't!" I shout.
"You and your friends took everything from me jack. Everything." He says. "Now I get to do the same to you."
"What are you even talking about?" I ask.
He smirks, and walks up to me, grabbing my collar.
"When I'm done with you, your going to want to die. But I won't let you. You WILL suffer as much as I did."
And with that, he leaps off the balcony. I look over the edge, trying to see where he went, but he's nowhere to be seen.
I slam my hands on the railing, freezing it completely.
