Ch. 12: Aftershock

Elsa's POV:
I wake up and stretch. It's Sunday. The sun streams through our window, warming everything it touches.

I head downstairs, not caring I'm in my pjs. I'm still in a daze with everything that happened last night.

I sit down at the table, with toast and juice in front of me. I sit in silence, collecting my thoughts when loud voices fill the room.

I look up, and find the skater kids coming in for breakfast.

Fighting over a tray is ruffnut and tuffnut, the twins who never get along. They both have long blonde hair, firey personalities, and have a strange obsession with pain. Not self harm pain, but hitting eachother pain.

They bump fishlegs, who is behind them.

"Watch it!" He shouts.

He's a bit bigger than most people, is really tall, and has blonde hair. He's also freakishly smart. I've seen his test scores in class, this kid's a genius.

Watching the action, is snoutlout. Fairly short, dark hair and eyes. I don't know him very well, except that he's always after astrid. Not that hiccup would ever let him get near her.

They struggle through the buffet, and finally sit down at a table, still loud as ever.

Someone sits down next to me. I look over to see Anastasia, who's on the cheer team with me.

She's here all the way from Russia, but surprisingly, didn't brig the accent with her.

"Enjoying the peace?" She asks as a dish breaks at the skater table.

I laugh. "Totally."

We talk for a bit longer, but she soon gets up to get some breakfast.

I'm finished by now, and I start to go upstairs when I run into someone.

I look up, and jack grins at me.

"Morning snowflake," he says.

He kisses my cheek, then walks past me into the cafeteria.

I reach up to my cheek, and smile.

Jacks POV:
I grin as I sit down, breakfast in hand. I need to ask Elsa out on a real date.

A dish breaks, and I turn around. Snoutlout is looking at the floor, laughing, where fishleg's breakfast is mixed amongst broken glass.

I turn back around, making eye contact with Anastasia, one of Elsa's friends.

She shrugs, and rolls her eyes at them. I smile and eat my breakfast.

When I get back upstairs, I find hiccups hair sticking out from under the covers. He's still asleep.

I turn on the tv, and start flipping through channels.

After an hour or so, hiccup sits up, and rubs his eyes.

I glance at him.

"Put on a shirt hobo," I tell him.

"Ha ha." He says as he grabs one off the floor. "So where did you and Elsa go last night?"

I blush a bit, and run my neck.

The spongebob theme song plays on the tv.

"Uh, we went to the bleachers," I say.

I feel my face turn red at the memory of her lips on mine.

"School make out spot huh?" He says. "Real classy jack."

I glare at him.

"When are you planning on asking her on a real date?" He asks.

"Who said I'm going to ask her out?" I ask defensively.

Hiccup smirks.

"I saw you two at the movie. You made out on the bleachers. I'd say it's safe to assume you're going to ask her out."

I sigh, and shrug a bit.

"I don't know," I say. "I'll do it later today,"

"$10 says you won't" hiccup challenges.

"$10 says I will!" I retort.

Except, what if it's hard? I've never had a problem asking a girl out before, but Elsa is different. What f I say something stupid? What if she says no?

Augh. What is wrong with me? Why is being in love so scary?

A/N: soooo just a filler chapter, but you know how that goes.

I was watching Anastasia earlier today, so I thought, why not put her in the story? So I did😊

haha I love that movie. I wonder what actually happened to her though, since no one actually knows. There's just theories. I think it's cool she was a real person though!!!
