Elsa's POV:
The door slams shut, and I look up from my pillow, rubbing my eyes.
"Jack?" I ask.
"Hey," he says, coming over to the bed.
"How are you?"
I shrug. Mom and dad's funeral was yesterday, and I've been in bed trying to cope since then. Jack's been with me ever since.
"Where did you go?" I ask.
He holds up a bag. "I got breakfast," he says.
I take it and pull out a cinnamon roll.
"Thanks," I say, and rub his hand. "You ready for tomorrow?" I ask hesitantly.
Jacks eyes become glossy and he looks down.
"I'm sorry," I say. "I shouldn't have asked."
"No," he says, rubbing his eyes free of tears. "It's fine."
His mom and sister's funeral is tomorrow. He pulls me to him, and we sit embraced. I begin to cry.
"Why does bad stuff keep happening to us?" I whisper. I feel teardrops on the top of my head.
"I don't know," he says.
Jacks POV:
2 months later
I brush the snow off of Emma's headstone.
"I miss you," I say with a shaky breath.
I look back at my car, where Elsa is waiting. I get up, and dust off my clothes, walking back to the car.
"How was it?" She asks as I open the door.
"Good," I reply. "Hard, but it's getting easier."
She smiles and takes my hand. As we approach the school, we continue to talk, and the topic of valentines day comes up, which is only a few days away.
"What are we going to do for valentines?" She asks.
I look at the steering wheel, smiling. I have an awesome idea, and I can't wait to show her. But it's a surprise.
"It's a surprise," I say.
"No fair!" She says.
Elsa's POV:
I wake up on valentines day, excited. Jack's picking me up at seven. I have roughly 10 hours to get ready. Hardly enough time for anything!
Punzie sits up, and rubs her eyes. Anna is already gone. Her and Kristoff are going on some sort of day date. Punzie gets out of bed, and walks over to her closet. From here, I can see her stomach beginning to poke out from under her tank top. She seems happy with the idea of a baby now, and I couldn't be happier for her.
"Hey," I say, sitting up.
"Hey," she says, bounding over I my bed.
"What are your plans with jack for today?"
I smile and blush.
"He's surprising me," I say.
She kicks her legs.
"That's sooooo romantic!" She says. "Eugene and I are going to dinner, and then coming back here to watch old movies."
"Awwww" I say. I get up and get in the shower. After, I curl my hair and put on some makeup, I put on a light blue A line strapless dress, and some black heels. I walk out of the bathroom, necklace in hand, for Punzie to help me put on.
"You look amazing!" She says.
"Thanks," I reply. "Am I too fancy?"
"Absolutely not!" She says. " you don't know what you're doing do you?"
"Nope," I reply. "Well you look perfect for anything he has planned."
I smile and look at the clock. 6:58 it reads.
"Jacks going to be here any second!" I shriek.
Right as I say that, he knocks at the door.
"Hello mi'lady," he says as I answer, extending a bouquet of white roses. I sniff them delicately, and smile.
"They're beautiful," I say, hugging him.
"I thought so too, until they were next to you," he says.
"That's so sweet!" Says Punzie in the background.
"And a bit cheesy," I say, laughing. "But that's the way I like him."
We head out and get into the elevator.
"Where are we going?" I ask. "You'll see," he says smugly.
A/N: guys I am soooooooooo sorry this update took so long!!! First there was christmas break, then I was sick, an then this past week I've been at cheer nonstop!!
