Ch. 6: Second Thoughts

Ch. 6:
2 months later
Elsa's POV:
I pull out my Halloween costume.

"It's so cute!" Punzie says.

Merida, Astrid, Punzie, Anna and I are in our room, getting ready for the Halloween dance. I pull on my costume, I'm going as a princess. We're all going as princesses.

Everyone else puts on their outfit, and I look at them in the mirror, where I'm applying false eye lashes.

"You guys look fantastic!" I exclaim.

We crowd around the mirror to finish our hair and makeup, and head downstairs to the ballroom for the dance.

We meet up with the guys, and Jack of course distances himself from me. Since that night at the party two months ago, we haven't said anything rude to eachother, although it's obvious the tension is still there.

The boys have all gone as knights, a total coincidence.

"What the heck?" Says astrid.

We all laugh at eachother. The music starts up, and we all start dancing. As the night wears on, I hear the boys in the group talking. I see jack look at me then back at the group. They're talking about me. I walk up to them.

"Need to say something to my face?" I inquire.

Jack looks alarmed, then his face contorts into a glare. "No," he says, walking away.

Jerk.

I walk back to the girls and keep dancing. The last dance of the night is announced, and it's a slow song. Everything has changed by Taylor swift comes on, and everyone pairs off. Rapunzel and Eugene, astrid and hiccup, Kristoff and anna, and Merida runs through the crowd to some boy on the other side of the room.

Jack and I are left.

Anna leans over. "Just dance you guys, it won't kill you." I glare at her, but then feel a hand come around my waist.

Jack looks at me without emotion, and we begin to dance. I hum the time, singing the words in my mind, and try not to think about who I'm having to dance with.

And all I feel, in my stomach is butterflies, the beautiful kind, making up for lost time taking flight making me feel right."

I softly start to sing out loud.

A voice that's not mine sings quietly too.

I look up and see jack singing. I join back in with him.

The song ends, an jack and I look at each other. He has a gorgeous voice.

Jack's POV:
I look down at her in her beautiful ice queen dress. She has a beautiful voice. I start to feel insecure all of the sudden.

"Songs over love birds," someone says.

I snap out of it and look at the group, who is staring at us. Elsa and I let go of eachother, and step away.

"You stepped on my feet," I say to her.

Her face goes to one of disgust.

"You put them right under my feet!" She exclaims. "What was I supposed to do? Fly?"

I roll my eyes and smirk at her. She thinks she's something doesn't she.

"Come on," I say to hiccup.

We go upstairs to our room, put on our pjs, and get into our beds.

"Sooo," says hiccup.

"What?" I ask.

He sits up and wiggles his eyebrows.

"You and Elsa." I laugh.

"Me and Elsa? No way!" I say.

"Whatever bro," he says, laying back down.

I look up at the ceiling. No way, right?
