Painted Red (Vampire knight style)

journey part 3

They finally were set off in their journey and had been traveling by foot in a dark forest but for the past three days Kaname hunger started to arise. Youji's scent was getting stronger and driving his once dull pureblood sense insane with a need to taste her sweet angel blood. Zero could sense Kaname was frustrated with something but there wasn't much he could do considering they didn't get along too much. Youji being oblivious to the situation or rather she had no idea what was happening instead made them stop to camp out in the woods . Zero and Kaname were much for being outdoorsy types but after an hour it seemed like they were natural adventurers. Youji and Kaname were alone at the campfire as Zero went to gather more firewood. Youji noticed Kaname twinge of pain for  a moment when he tried to fight it.

(Youji) " Kaname are you okay?"

(Kaname) " I'm fine..."

Youji took a deep breath then grabbed Kaname's hand then says:

(Youji) " You're lying..I can feel your deep embedded pain and at first I assumed it was just from traveling so long on foot but I realize it something else"

(Kaname) " Whether I am lying or not..is it really your business?..what do you mean?"

(Youji) " Kaname..you're thirsty aren't you?"

(Kaname) " What..no I'm not"

Kaname trying desperately to hide his thirst but it was all in vain when Youji grabbed her hunters knife then slide in across her left side of her neck in a long line. She barely put the knife away from Kaname's eyes blazed red and he licked the trail of blood going to the middle of her chest. Youji was pinned to the ground with Kaname hovering over her licking the wound and then he bite into her flesh making her slip out a moan in surprise at the usual sensation she felt. Kaname drank a few deeps gulps when his senses came back  and his eyes went wide seeing Youji under him  then her saw her before her eyes closed. He picked her up placing her in sleeping bag after bandaging the wound on her neck. Kaname looked at the fire blazing feeling guilty for attacking her like that and then Zero came back with Firewood. Zero saw the look on Kaname's face and coughed to get his attention.

(Zero) " Are you okay.. normally I wouldn't mind the look of gloom on your face but it seems something happened"

(Kaname ) " I'm fine now..I bit her..it's her scent I don't know what it is I couldn't hold back wanting a taste and I feel bad about it because I'm usual very composed person"

(Zero) " I see..Her scent is stronger then any human and if I wasn't a hunter with your blood to help me I probably would have already attack her myself"

( Kaname) " I guess you're right but..I hope I didn't scare her"

(Zero) " I don't think you have to worry about that"
